I mean, as someone who’s mainly shipping sapphic relationships I got used to being manipulated/ played and fooled but never have I imagined I would be feeling the same feelings shipping a heterosexual couple 🤬

Why the fuck do tv shows now days, think it’s appropriate to mind fuck with their viewers and hint at a possible slow burn but in reality write the characters as not themselves by putting them up with others?

It’s 2023, shows only have 10 episodes per season if they’re lucky and for a show to get picked up for another season, the viewers have to wait half a year at best and they have the audacity to mind fuck us with slow burn bullshit?! What the hell will you do if you won’t get picked for another season when it’s much more likely to happen?!

And yes, I’m talking about Ted and Rebecca’s relationship on Ted Lasso. Rebecca‘s “thing” with Sam was absolutely not necessary whatsoever and the fact that they continue hinting at it is absolutely insane.

OH HACK NO!

Can’t believe they put Rebecca and Sam together! Omg, totally killed the vibe for me! They didn’t even have chemistry and after they begin this nonsense it’s like they ditched the idea of potentially developing something between Ted and Rebecca… How could they have turned something so beautiful into something so horrible? I’m actually furious at this because i can’t continue watching this without knowing if Ted and Rebecca will end up together and putting up with Rebecca and Sam is just not it for me. I’m SO disappointed! I totally loved this show, I think it’s genius but I’m sorry. I won’t be watching until there’s a slight confirmation that Rebecca and Ted are happening in the long run at least… And with this series being made by Apple plus, there’s a chance they’ll get canceled after this season without giving us anything that’s about them.

My thoughts on “Madre solo hay dos” MariAna season 3 (spoilers)

Let’s begin with the ending; we got the MariAna endgame we deserve! Netflix finally didn’t play with our feelings and actually did the right thing!

Now, let’s back up a little…

The plot of the story of Mariana and Ana is spectacular; the setup, the developing feelings and different stages of their relationship are what made me ship them in the first place.

However, with that being said, to me it felt as if Netflix wanted to give us MariAna but at the same time they didn’t want to come on too strong… What I mean is that the kiss and the love scene felt rushed and even a little bit awkward, as if someone told the actresses to do it and get on with it.

It’s a shame we won’t see the continuation of their relationship, how they navigate together as a real couple with the struggles of the real world. On the one hand, I’m glad Netflix won’t have a chance to ruin what they’ve built but on the other hand, I’m sad we won’t get another season of a series that deserves it. It’s actually embarrassing and starts to annoy me that Netflix only makes shows with few episodes per season and we don’t get more than a few seasons. (Of course it also depends on the show and what the storyline focuses on, if Mariana and Ana would have ended up being with their exes maybe we would have gotten more seasons)

All in all, the actresses that play the roles of Mariana and Ana, Paulina Goto and Ludwika paleta, are incredible performers and we’re lucky we’ve got them to represent us. Maybe if only we could have gotten a little more focus on Ana and Mariana and less of the the other storylines of the show, it would have been a lot more satisfying to watch.
