I was commissioned to do something for a friend for his article about the #Dhanush - #VetriMaaran collaborations and what started off as individual designs..well went on to become some kind of polyptych? Idk. So, verisimilitude. Verisimilitude means the appearance of being true or real. In simpler terms, the difference in say how Deepika Padukone potrayed a South Indian girl in Chennai Express versus say Aishwarya Rajesh in Vada Chennai. That's what Dhanush-Vetri has on the menu and I for one cannot get enough of it.

Motivation comes in all forms. Maybe from your friend. Maybe from your enemy. From family or some guy on social media who makes such awesome posters or even maybe from a TV anchor in a well draped saree.

Sharing life’s two most important lessons…to reduce your TV volumes when on call and to never give up and keep at it week after week even if you don’t get the line.

And believe me you will get your chance and when you get it.. please don’t be like Pankajam maami and fucking plugin your oorka business and dedicate fucking Suttum Vizhi Sudare to Kamala, Vimala and Chandarakala aunty.

Be better..and above all, keep trying.

There is a scene in Cuckoo where Tamizh, hanging onto a lamp post tells Kodi what he had dreamt about the night before. A blind man, who hasn’t seen a single thing in this world is dreaming. I’ll probably spend the rest of my life wondering about what those dreams would be made of. Things like this are why I watch movies. Anyway a little tribute to a beautiful movie that had me bawling. Do catch if you haven’t it yet.

Pannaiyarum Padminiyum 

A simple story about a man's desire to drive his wife to the temple on their wedding anniversary. The film is shot beautifully and some scenes are a bit too emotional and heart wrenching. We see movies duration getting trimmed very often these days but the debutante director makes no compromises with the pace of the movie. And a beautiful soundtrack too.  Do watch.

Subramaniyapuram A bloody tale of loyalty, friendship & betrayal set in the 80's. One of the few movies which we can proudly say that it's original and on par with Hollywood.

Refreshing movie...so many hilarious moments! Wanted to make a poster very soon after the release but couldn't find the time..anyway voila! :) If you havent seen it, please do! with your friends and friends only. :P
