Headcanon that Mello is actually really good with history. Hes the best guy to have at trivia night because he can just come up with the most random history shit. "You know WW2 grenades were the same size and weight as a baseball so American G.I.s would be able to throw them more accurately?"

I thought I actually posted this forever ago and I can’t believe I didn’t because I’m in love with this headcanon? I mean, I always saw him as somebody who was into history (as a writer of nonfiction, probably), but the trivia night thing killed me. It’s the only time anybody wants Mello in their group, and that’s only because Near refuses to participate in team-based activities with his peers.
