For this project, I will be creating a new town/city from the ground up over a period of time, updating the world according to the needs of the residents using both in-game tools and CAW. For example, the world, as it stands right now, is completely free of civilisation and will be developed accordingly.
Currently, there are no roads, so travel is solely by foot or by horse. As time goes on and families grow and immigrate, I will add a path network that will eventually become a road network.
Aesthetically, I also plan on changing building architecture and sim fashion according to different time periods. Right now, I imagine my game as occurring sometime in the late 19th century. However, I'm limited mostly to the EA content I have in game. I don't want to put in a whole bunch of CC that could affect my game's performance. This means that some styles may not be accurate or coherent.
Some things to note about the gameplay:
1. To start, I will try and make it as integrated as possible, where the economy is as self-contained as it can be. This means that sims earn money through gathering and selling resources. Though, careers will be unlocked eventually where I see fit.
2. The world will start out with a population of four families; the produce farmers, the hunters, the livestock farmers and a wealthy family that will collect and sell valuables to an outside economy purely to pump money into Majestic Valley's economy. New families will be added over time and will have some sort of specialisation e.g. inventors and entertainers.
3. Rabbit holes will make an appearance later down the line where they're needed or where I feel they will enhance the experience of the town e.g. unlocking electricity for the town with the science lab.
P.s. while I've used the bacc tag, this isn't necessarily a challenge. I'm not following set rules or anything.
Public birthing, a new couple, bad decisions and family tensions.
The Valley is well into spring and an elder Fowler Huntington stopped to admire the green beauty before he headed home one afternoon.
At least I thought he was admiring the greenery. It turns out he had his eye on Xiang Nung and went in for a flirt...an unsuccessful one at that.
Next door, Therron and Xue were hiding behind the consignment store doing all sorts of romantic stuff.
After some sweet talking, Xue built up the courage to ask Therron to be her boyfriend! There's a new couple in town!
The next day, Fowler visited his son, Trapper and his new, pregnant partner, Lina. "Son, I'm proud of you for moving out and starting a life on your own and all, but you're living in a tent with a pregnant 'significant other'. Where will the baby sleep?" Fowler said worryingly. "Did you come here for something?" Trapper responded. "I brought you a housewarming gift, son, but I can't see any house...".
"Erherrm, a fish" Trapper retorted. "You need to eat, Trapper" Fowler snapped back.
"A toilet would've been nice"...
Over at the Beauforts, Theo was adjusting to her new life as the gatherer now that her mother, Henrietta, has reached elderhood and has become too old for this type of work.
Henriette watches on as Theo learns the gem cutter...
"Girls, if you thought your mother's gem-hunting retirement meant a bit of peace and quiet around here..." "WHAT DAD?!"
A little later, Victoria stopped to visit her family at the consignment store and...gave birth.
Meanwhile, on the opening night of her new tavern, Henrietta observed the town's first bar brawl.
Party! The Grovehursts threw a birthday party for Mary.
Cross-eyed Mary is now an adult! She arrived in the Valley as a child. My sims are getting old!
Mary's party was going splendidly well until Phoebe Scriven decided to steal her thunder and give birth.
So, yeah. Victoria and Cèlestin are parents to twins, Geneviève and Gus. They've been managing well and sharing the childcare between themselves.
They threw a little party to introduce their family and close friends to their new babies. It was nice of Edgar to come, given he despises Cèlestin, but he was eager to meet his grandchildren.
Edgar couldn't stop talking about them!
Cèlestin has been thinking about marriage. This party really tested his relationship with Edgar. He's keen to prove himself to Edgar and since the party was going well, he thought about asking Edgar for Victoria's hand in marraige.
"I know I don't have much money, but my heart is rich in love for your daughter, please, please, please let me marry her, sir." begged Cèlestin.
"Not over my dead body, bakerman!" errrr.
And so, the recap ends with Trapper and Lina's twin girls (can't remember their names right now) laying out in the open on a cold night while their parents sleep soundly in their tent.
The winter in the Valley has been harsh, but Henrietta was determined to mine it for gems one last time before she aged up. She rode her old pal, Midnight, all day and managed to find two moonstones amongst her haul. While she loves hunting for rocks and gems, elderhood is quickly approaching and the time to hand over the torch to her children is just around the corner.
Speaking of her children, Victoria is settling into Cèlesin's place well. She set to work upgrading many of his appliances. She was in the middle of upgrading their oven when she remembered that Lina's dog had a litter. A new puppy would be a great companion for her child!
"One German Shepherd mutt, please"
And here is little Sadie!!
Over at the Huntington's, Trapper wallowed in his burnt waffles. He has become incredibly restless lately.
He's more than ready to start his own journey but wants a partner to come along with him. He knows Lina's marriage has been crumbling and she has ambitions that do not align with her family's. He was thinking about her...
...so much that he rode to her house one early evening.
She was more than happy to see him. "What a lovely surprise to see you, Trapper! Can you fix our toilet?"
While he was happy to unclog their toilet, he was more interested in unclogging Lina from, what he considered to be, the restrictive weight of her family.
After sorting the toilet issue, he brought Lina upstairs for a private discussion.
"I know you despise the life you've found yourself in. Come away with me and start the band you've always wanted to lead. I will support you with everything I have". She was stunned, very intrigued, but incredibly hesitant.
Trapper thought that some flowers would change her mind. Of course, he was wrong. She told him to leave.
The very next day, Trapper tried again, but he had another tactic up his sleeve.
...he stripped to his underwear (??!!) hoping that his hunting physique would impress her. "Put your clothes on and get upstairs before Karim sees you, now!"
She led him to the bedroom. He was trembling with anxiety, not knowing what she would say...
"I will go with you"...So many feelings washed over Trapper. One being excitement, which he couldn't contain...
he went in for a kiss...
And Lina kissed him right back...
And so, with feelings of passion, excitement and starvation, a spontaneous woohoo took place...only for Lina's husband to walk in.
"It's over for you, pal. You had your chance to save your marriage, but you threw that out the window when you flirted with all those women at the Grovehurst wedding!! By the way, your new house sucks!"
Slaps and tackles were thrown.
And trapper won. Not only did he win the fight, but he won the chance to start a life with someone new. Lina and Trapper are ready to start their new life together.
"Son, I'm disappointed in you for breaking up an entire family, but if it means you can follow your dreams of starting a fitness club, go for it."
Since completing his degree at La Fiesta Tech and moving to Strangetown, Ajay was keen to get to work right away. While he dind't study biology, he's taken an interest in the health sciences and wanted to get a job in the medicine career. Lucky for him, an opening appeared the day after he moved in!
Newly employed, Ajay spent some time getting to know the locals. He met Kristen at 94 Road to Nowhere and they immediately started flirting and he asked her out on a date!
The two of them hopped next door for a bite to eat. While they toasted to their new lives in Strangetown and had some general chit-chat, Ajay struggled to find any meaningful connection with Kristen.
The fact that the date didn't elicit any sort of emotional reaction from Kristen says enough about their connection. *yawn*, she thought.
The next day, Ajay visited the pool again and ran into Lola. They struck up a conversation and had a little poolside boogie and Ajay asked her out.
They headed Downtown and things were going well...
Until the waiter dropped food all over Ajay!
Sigh, another mediocre outing for Ajay ending in a stunted blank expression from his date.
Lola was feeling a little sympathetic for Ajay, so she did stick around for a bit and took a nice picture with him. Maybe a second date wouldn't be so bad?
Over at the Singles household, the women have been struggling with money with job listings not being aligned with their degrees or interests. They couldn't afford a repair service to come and sort out the power outages they've been having. Chloe made an attempt and barely got it fixed. Kristen watched on hoping Chloe would get electrocuted.
They all headed to Sims Gone Wired so Erin could touch up on her cooking skill. Though, they had no money to do anything else other than enjoy the free amenities there. Food was absolutely out of the question.
Tension between the housemates got worse..."YOU GET A JOB"..."NO YOU GET A JOB"
While Kristen really wanted to make it work in Strangetown, her horrible housemate, Chloe, is not someone she envisions living with long-term. After all, she does enjoy the city vibe much more.
"Goodness, I'm hungry...if only there was someone in this town who is rich, handsome and...oh, my, that looks like an expensive smoking jacket..."
"Hi, I'm Kristen..."
Back at home, food was becoming a real problem. "Any ideas, Kris? This rotten mac and cheese isn't quite cutting it for me". "You know what, Lola, I've always wanted to do a dine-and-dash. Girls, get ready, we're eating out large tonight!"
"Kris, I'm so nervous about this. The only thing I've ever stolen in my entire life is my dad's credit card so I could call the psychic hotline for research purposes" Erin muttered.
But she was quickly lulled by the sight of a good Lobster Thermidor and a glass of champagne. "So when do we do it, Kris" Lola asked. "You shovel your last bite and..."
"I beg your pardon, ladies, I may be old, but you do realise I've heard absolutely everything you've been talking about and you WILL be paying for those meals" the host said subtly as she was looking through her booking notes. Erin looked like she needed a clean pair of knickers.
It would've been nice for Chloe to get the brunt of the scolding, but it was Kristen's idea, so she took the brunt of it.
Heading back home, things were really starting to fall apart.
Erin tried unsuccessfully freestyling for tips...
Bathroom amenities were breaking...
And they got roaches...
Not to mention the heat of the scorching Strangetown sun. Poor Kris, the others thought it was just a little heat stroke...
But it was death! Erin pleaded with Grim to not take her friend...
And she won!
While Kris was incredibly grateful for being revived, all Erin could think about was food. "At least you got fed in the afterlife, we're all still starving! Just order a pizza and put it on our tab"
Things have been heating up at the Fanaan's...quite literally.
Their naughty and grumpy horse, Buni, has been neglected recently. The Fanaan's haven't had the motivation to train him and they've come to realise their yard is far too small to keep a horse. No one in the house dare try to ride him, either. Xue stopped by one day and spent a lot of time socialising with Buni.
Lina noticed this and wondered whether the Nung's would be willing to adopt Buni. "I'd love to, but you'd better check in with my parents. We already have two horses" Xue told Lina.
..."He's a very well-trained horse. He doesn't bite, kick or toss anyone, ever....why haven't you seen me ride him around? Well, you see, my entire household is allergic to animals. I have a cat and dog? Oh, would you look at that, Buni's taken a liking to you! The two of you can stop by and visit any time you like! We'll miss him"
And so it was, Buni moved in with the Nungs.
Lina wished that adopting Buni out would be the end of her troubles, but all it's done is highlight the real trouble in her life, her marriage. She's tired of Karim and his constant flirting with other women and overall, she never quite felt a connection with him.
After a long night of arguing, Lina settled for sleeping in the rocking chair. Perhaps it's time to leave this marriage and pursue her dreams of starting a band?
Whatever Lina wants to do, Karim doesn't want any part of it anymore. If they're going to agree on something, it's probably a divorce...
With the news of Victoria's pregnancy, Cèlestin couldn't be happier! Edgar, on the other hand, is not supportive of this relationship at all. His eldest could do far better than the poor baker...
And so, despite hating her father and nearly starving to death, he proposed! The town is preparing for another wedding!
Moving in the bin families, setting up the Bluewater Village families and completing Don's initial round.
The burbs settled into their new house at 95 Woodland Drive. Brandi, Darren and Nina were their welcome wagon, and Mortimer was greeted on his stroll past the house.
The neighbours were NOT behaving themselves. Nina started picking on Darren and John. Mortimer even tried hitting on Nina.
After the uncouth neighbours left and Lucy went to bed, John brought up the idea of growing their family in Pleasantview. While they may not have much money, if Jen gets promoted quickly and John's garden takes off, it could just work.
With their retirement funds, the Oldies were able to rent an apartment. Herb's pension isn't quite cutting home ownership, so it was the only option they had long-term.
On the same day, their new neighbour, Chester, moved in.
As well as Jodie Larson and her brother, Jason.
Over at the Jacquet's, Gilbert threw a luncheon for his neighbours.
But if anything was thrown, it was a glass of water, from Wanda at Gilbert. He's a just a poor man who still lives at home with his over-bearing mother, what could Wanda have against him?
Whatever it is, Stephen better be careful. He met Florence for the first time and couldn't stop flirting with her! Does Wanda suspect that such a dedicated married man has a wandering eye?
Over at Don's, he's taking his break-up with Cassandra well. He still isn't cleaning, so that must be a good sign.
...so Mortimer can kick over his trashcan in vengance in all he wants.
If anything has come out of leaving Cassandra, Don has been more focused on his work. Now that he won't have access to the Goth fortune, he's started to realise he actually needs to work for a living. It's paying off, though. He got promoted!
He's also spent more time on his hobbies. He likes showing off his skipping-rope skills in front of Kaylynn.
And while things around him have changed quite drastically, the one constant he has is Nina.
Family fishing, consignment store fights and first woohoos.
The Grovehursts threw a party. Perhaps a funeral party because their horse, Fair, had just passed on. Karim was out flirting with Gwen Grovehurst, in front of her daughter, Mary, and daughter-in-law, Li. If Gwen had any plans about telling her daughter, Mary, about seeing her son kiss Li, she may as well throw those out the window!
While Cèlestin and Victoria were invited to the party, they kept to themselves. They couldn't take their hands off of each other!
Still thinking about last night's encounter with Cèlestin, Victoria visited the park and hung around until he finished work.
"say, I have an idea! wanna sneak back to the Grovehursts and hang around their dirty leaf piles?"
Not quite understanding the point of the leaf piles, Cèlestin abliged, and then he clicked! Neither he nor Victoria have double beds!
and so, off they went for their very first woohoo...
With the new consignment store open, the Huntington's have been fishing on overdrive. Fowler's been able to take more time off from the market to help the family fish. They whole family was able to fish together for the first time in a while!
Given his dislike of the outdoors, Trapper has been spending more time at the newly developed Town Square. Luckily for him family, the racoons have been hanging around! More meat for the market!
Heading to the consignment store, Trapper was greeted with a brawl. Unsurprisingly, Cornelius challenged Riyad...and lost.
And that's all! I haven't played much since the last stream. Finishing off with Meredith Huntington eating an entire pumpkin...
It was a pleasant day at the community grounds. Oliver called over his sister's girlfriend, Li, over to the well. He hadn't been himself lately, and had something on his mind that he wanted to get it off of his chest. Li, gets along incredibly well with Oliver, made her way to the well.
After a little bit of small talk, Oliver finally came to his senses...
and KISSED his lesbian sister's girlfriend!
Li was struck with such shock, she never thought of her girlfriend's brother in such a way before, but she thought he was a good kisser, she tried to resist...
Good luck convincing that to the rest of the town, Li...
A few days later, Henrietta ventured out to stir shit amongst the teens in town for whatever reason. Therron was her target on this beautiful summer's day.
Xue witnessed this from a distance and rushed to Therron's defence. "YOU STAY AWAY FROM MY MAN"...Why is Xue being all weird referring to Therron as her man? She tried to kiss him and she stalked him all around town with her loud farts and all. He did appreciate her sticking up for him, though.
"It's all for you, Therron!". Um, it's a no from him, apparently....
After weeks of chasing Therron, Xue was at her wit's end. She thought of one last thing that might be able to win him over, does Therron like white flowers?
I guess that's all it took in the end. Xue got her first kiss. All thanks to...um, flowers.
A few peeks at what's happened during winter-spring of year two.
It was collecting as usual for Henrietta Beaufort. However, she was able to purchase the collection helper, giving her a HUGE haul for the day.
The Grovehurst's have been struggling with money. Given her mother's enormous loot for the day, Victoria was kind enough to give Mary Grovehurst one of her family's most valuable gems to sell.
Despite the cold winter months, Victoria has been warming up to Cèlestin. She wanted to get to know him a bit more...
Despite their previous conflict, Cèlestin invited Victoria over for Sushi where she explained why she was such a brat to him when they first met as teenagers. Having to share a room with three younger sisters would put anyone in an awful mood.
Cèlestin was clearly forgiving.
Over at the Fanaan's, Lina's been trying to concentrate on her painting skill, but after realising she's pregnant, her energy levels have tanked and she can barely make it out of her pajamas.
Her son, Riyad, happily let her know what he thought of her latest painting attempt...
The Huntington's had a visit from the Grim Reaper. Big Ears' time came to an end.
The Scriven's moved in! Meredith was the first to greet them.
Where she adopted one of their kittens and named them sooty. Can you tell that the Scriven's new foal, Henry, is an aggressive little shit?
I will never wonder why Riyad has no friends. Here he is making fun of Trapper for being upset about his dog's passing.
There's been some wandering eyes in the settlement lately. Xiang and Dale realised each other's chemistry.
Something came over Lina and she surprised Fowler, a happily married man, with a big smooch.
Unconventional fertiliser, romance, birthdays, deathdays and lightning strikes.
The Grovehurst's garden has been producing a lot lately. I wonder if it's because Mary has been PEEING in the garden.
The wheat has really sprung up! Thanks, Mary!
The first of the original pets are aging to elders. Here's Barrel showing off his new grey highlights.
Cèlestin has spent more time out in the community getting to know his fellow residents. He's a family-oriented sim and is feeling hopeful about romance. He wonders if Edgar knows of any eligible bachelorettes in town.
Did Edgar suggest Mary?? She isn't single! Nonetheless, she didn't seem too phased about accepting a flirt from Cèlestin or being his first kiss! Hopefully, Li doesn't find out...
But the simgods are always watching Cèlestin...
While Cèlestin is stumbling into adulthood...
Majestic Valley has its first visit from the Grim Reaper! Salman's time came to an end right as he was about to enjoy a slice of pie!
As winter approaches, the Nung's are working hard to ensure their produce stand is fully stocked with milk, cheese, butter and eggs.
Despite the very recent loss of her husband, Salman, Maryam couldn't resist Cèlestin's public display of audacious affection.
*sigh* sorry, Cèlestin, you can strike Maryam off the list...
As one life comes to an end, another one begins. I was FINALLY able to get Lina and Karim to try for a baby!
While Majestic Valley is really starting to thrive, as I enter the cooler seasons, things will slow down a bit. The town is gearing up for its next phase and hopefully by the third summer, with the introduction of a path network, the residents can begin work on the town square!
Pregnancies, babies, toddlers, foals and kittens...the settlement is growing!
Making the most of the warmer summer evenings, the Nung family have been visiting the Grovehursts. Here Xiang is chatting with Mary and, now heavily pregnant, Gwen.
The evening was going well until Gwen dropped a bomb and unexpectedly went into labour!
Baby Edward is born!
Unphased, Mary and Li were much more interested in the valley's beautiful night sky! I guess babies can be born anytime because enjoying the serene sky with your girlfriend is far more important...
Back at home, Haoran loves spending time with his baby sister...
because unlike his twin sister, Li, she loves his quirks and is happy to get any attention from him.
Over at the Beauforts, Adeline had a foal that was quickly adopted by the Huntington family and named Light Nose.
Pleased with the adoption, Edgar and Henrietta are focused on their, very soon to be, new arrival.
Did I say new arrival? I meant new arrivals! They had twins!
Because they live in a bit of a madhouse now, the elder Beaufort children have been out making friends in the settlement. Victoria has taken a liking to Cèlestin, which a change from when she first met him and gave him all out attitude.
Caroline met Oscar Huntington at the community grounds. It's nice she has someone else her age she can play with.
Speaking of the Huntington's, they welcomed their new baby, Therron!
Trapper loves being a big brother!
He also loves spending time at the Fanaan's, much to the disdain of Riyad, who is still feeling incredibly awkward that someone who tried to kiss him is making friends with his parents.
Cèlestin has been busy with his new contraption, his flour mill! He's now able to make flour out of the wheat the Grovehurst's have been growing.
He also adopted a kitten from the Fanaan's, who he named Croissant :3
The Fanaan's have been working steadily on their art curation, selling enough paintings for Lina to buy a guitar, which she practices every morning to her sleeping husband :-/
Using the flour they bought from Cèlestin, the Fanaan's were able to make the town's first serving of pancakes! Such a grand milestone!
Overall, the town's been in good shape. Its wealth is growing slowly and I'm gearing up to create its second community lot, a consignment store! The market (which has been busy lately!) will move there, leaving the community grounds for leisure purposes. Things are looking up!
Fowler and Meredith (parents), Trapper (teen son), Oscar (child son), Big Ears (dog), Brisk (horse)
Role: Hunters
I have to say, the Huntington Family are probably my most favourite. Not necessarily to play, but I just like their vibe and they're the first family I played in this world. They live in this quaint little cottage and sell meat and fish to the community.
Meredith is pregnant and her other children are quite pleased. More siblings means less work for them to do!
Speaking of work, Trapper usually starts his day scouting the valley for prey and sometimes travels long distances to do so. One day, he got lucky and found some weird Sixam bird right next to his house and so he wasted no time catching it.
Oscar, on the other hand, had to cross the river to find his prey. Crossing the river usually means a whole day's spent hunting, so I try to avoid them having to do it.
Later in the evening, their father, Fowler, visited the Beauforts for dinner. He's mostly a carnivore, but he was polite about the salad he was served.
Now, Trapper, who is bisexual, has a crush on Riyad, but Riyad is a loner and straight. Trapper has unsuccessfully flirted with Riyad before and hasn't quite got the hint that Riyad isn't interested. Though, Trapper still decided to visit the Fanaan's house to see him.
Trapper just couldn't resist and went in for a big smooch right in front of Riyad's family.
Riyad then made his feelings known to Trapper. Oh, dear.
Distraught, Trapper then sought consolidation from Riyad's...grandma?! I mean, she was understanding, I guess, but she looks a little awkward.
Trapper even decided to stay for dinner! Riyad, quite uncomfortable, disassociated with the whole situation by staring into a wall...
Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to this family's future. Trapper doesn't like the outdoors, so I don't see him carrying on the family's hunting legacy. He may move closer to the community grounds when he becomes an adult.
Célestin moved to Majestic Valley from Champs Les Sims after his parents died in a fire. While he's just a teenager, with his small inheritance, he brought ambitions to start fresh in a new place taking his passion for cooking and baking with him.
One of the first things he did when he arrived was adopt Whipper from the Nung family. Célestin's charismatic and keen to make new friends, but in the meantime, he has his horse to keep him company.
Wasting no time, he started baking pies and cobblers. Nothing too sophisticated, he needs to perfect his craft and he's also not too sure of what the locals would actually like.
This peach pie will do, for now.
Célestin introduced himself to Oscar Huntington as he was on his way to the park. Not sure why, but Oscar thinks he's funny. Célestin is more interested in making friends with people his age, so he didn't spend much time around Oscar, whom he thinks is a bit bratty, anyway.
Later in the day, he took Whipper out for a ride to meet some of his neighbours. It's early Spring in the valley, the air is still harsh, but the smell of grass is definitely there.
He stopped off by the Beaufort Family's home and sat down for a meal, meeting Edgar and Victoria. Of course, Edgar discusses all the valuables he's found around the valley. Victoria was quiet, and disappointingly, didn't make much of an effort to talk to Célestin.
Which isn't so bad because Célestin had to rush home to put out a fire started from a neglected fireplace...
Maryam and Salman (grandparents), Lina and Karim (parents), Riyad (teen son), Ranj (cat).
Role: Artists
The Fanaan family are recent arrivals to Majestic Valley, having moved from Al Simhara. Their home climate contrasts heavily with the valley's, so they opted to build a cozy little cottage immediately upon their arrival. Though, the grandparents decided to camp outside...I could say they chose to, but the truth is, I ran out of money for a proper bedroom for them.
The family patriarch, Salman, appreciates the slower pace in life, while his son, Karim, dreams of opening the town's first art gallery filled with his family's work.
Maryam wanted to purchase a plot of land close to the town community grounds. They don't have a horse, so being close to the market was important to her.
The family is also close to the town's water supply.
They're one of the few families in town who have a full kitchen and can enjoy a meal at a dining table. They're careful not to boast about this to their fellow residents.
Ranj the cat is constantly demanding attention from her family. She mostly gets in the way of her family, but sometimes they take the time out of their day to pamper her.
Not all is idyllic in their new home, though. Karim is flirtatious and couldn't resist a cheeky flirt with Xiang Nung as she walked by his house on her way home. Unfortunately for him, his mother and son caught him.
Disappointed in her son, Maryam took her anger out on the broken plumbing of their brand-new bathtub.
Riyad has mixed feelings about this whole situation; a new place and a father with a wandering eye. He's a loner and hates the outdoors, so prefers to spend his time indoors painting. Like most of his family, he's passionate about art. The stresses of the recent move conjured a vision. A vision of an old woman with many loves who met untimely demises...
Xiang and Hao (parents), Haoran (teen son), Li (teen daughter), Xue (baby daughter), Yu (cat), Mi (dog), Qishi and Shibing (horses). They also have cows and chickens!
Role: Animal products.
The family lives on a plot close to the Grovehursts.
This round started off with some care for the Nung's new baby daughter, Xue!
Many of the families still don't have cooking facilities, including the Nungs. Just like many of other residents, their day starts off with breakfast around the firepit.
Follwed by harvesting from their livestock. Here's Mi watching the cow getting milked :3
The sleeping situation is pretty dire for this family. Five members sharing a single-roomed shack.
I have to admit, my favourite member of this family is Hao. He gets along with pretty much everyone and loves tending to the animals.
...and leaving whoopee cushions all over the place...
Dale and Gwendolyn (Parents), Mary (teen daughter), Oliver (toddler son), Barrel (dog), Scratcher (cat), Fair and Bucephalus (Horses).
Role: Produce farmers.
Winter has been harsh on the family's crops with no new produce since late Autumn.
On the bright side, it means that the family has been able to spend more time getting to know other sims in the world.
Mary decided to visit her neighbours, the Nung Family, but she realised she hadn't spent much time with her horse Bucephalus, whom she needed to warm up to a bit in order to ride, given he's untrained.
In the end, she gained Bucephalus' trust and she was able to climb upon him.
Mary arrived at the Nung's plot of land and immediately started chatting to her close friend, Li. Of course, the cold weather was this week's "hot topic".
Suddenly, something came over Mary that she wasn't expecting, a sudden urge to Kiss Li!
While the two girls were the closest of friends as children, it appears that their teenage years have brought on a new set of dynamics and Li proposed that they make their relationship romantic. Mary accepted, of course.
While their teenage daughter's romance is blossoming, Dale and Gwen's is not. Gwen was not up to woohooing tonight and she made that clear to her husband.
The next day, Mary visited another resident of Majestic Valley, her friend, Trapper Huntington. Again, cold weather is such a riveting topic.
Trapper's dealing with his own raging hormones and attempted a flirty joke (about jellyfish, apparently) with Mary, but as a newly taken gal, she decided to ignore his subtle advances, at first.
But there's something about Trapper that intrigues Mary, is it his futuristic fur sweater, or his ginormous chin? Perhaps Trapper doesn't know that Jellyfish just aren't Mary's thing and needed some help on how to smooth talk. in general. Mary decided to help him out a little and flirted suggestively about bugs. Trapper was all ears. This could complicate things in future.
Back at home, the round ends with Oliver's birthday and Gwen gives him one last snuggle before he ages up.
