Welcome to The Survival Guide for all Twenty First Century Heroines!

I have one bookshelf in my room. It’s stuffed with books I’ve accumulated over at least a decade or more. Amongst the most worn copies are, Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, Jane Eyre, Little Women, and the Anne of Green Gables set.

I keep going back to them, rereading and finding myself just as captivated and inspired as the first time. They shaped the kind of woman I’ve become. In a world full of Josie Pye’s I chose to be Anne, in a world full of Lydia’s I chose to be Lizzie. They resonate somewhere deep inside of me, I need them. And I bet you need them too, don’t you? That’s why I was moved to start this blog. I’m not tech savvy, I don’t have a laptop with editing software or even WiFi. I’m simply a young lady, armed with a cache of literatures finest females, an iPhone, and unlimited data on my side, trying to make it in the Twenty First Century.

If that sounds like you, if you want a safe place to celebrate these heroines and their authors, engage in discussions and analyze all our favorite books, scenes and characters, share your thoughts with like-minded individuals, even participate in some fun trivia and games, you’re more than welcome. I’ll put the kettle on ❤️

I only have a few rules for following me, and utilizing my blog.

1. Don’t be vulgar, please.

2. Leave politics at the door, for the real world. This is meant as an escape, a reprieve from reality.

3. Be kind to others, so they may be kind to you.

4. Please be patient with me. As I mentioned before, I’m not tech savvy, I don’t have a great deal of resources to run a truly effective blog, and I work a 9-5 Monday-Friday.
