I find it hilarious how you almost only rp fluff or cutesy adorable things with THAT ONE lucifer, and Gabriel is bitter and sassy for eveyone else
Out of Tricks-
WELL what can I say, I guess it’s the only person I feel like those kind of topics would really work with… or maybe Gabriel is just overly attached.
Truth to be told the first time I roleplayed with @luciferisbetterthanyou was so long ago that I can barely remember when it was so like… maybe I am just more comfortable who knows *shrug*
Also with everyone else just feels like I’m breaking the character so It just feels realy..??? wrong...??????
@father-of-all-lies
“I care not…these feeble humans cannot see beyond their own noses”
Satan knows there is more to this, knows his angelic brother like the back of his hand. As Gabriel knew his fallen kin also. Something has the archangel rattled. The demon god, narrows his eyes, tapping the table with one hand in annoyance and a little of the usual anger when Michael’s name was mentioned. The pain of Michael’s holy spear piercing his heart, had been burnt into Satan’s memory. Out of all the heavenly host, Satan hatred was strongest for Michael, who’s role it had been to cast the fallen angel out. God of course would never get his hands dirty with such a heinous crime.
Whatever was happening, God’s absence effected Satan in a big way, along with Gehenna too. A swing of power in Heaven could be the opportunity Satan was waiting for or it could be a disaster to his plans. It all depended on who had replaced God.
“Who currently sits on the throne? Who is in charge, Gabriel? What are you hiding from me?”
“ ‘s not the humans that worry me. ”
His voice was almost a hiss, tone low with what could have been hostility or urgent apprehension. Satan voice seemed just as pressing, seemingly getting even more demanding as their brother’s name was thrown over the table. This whole situation felt like a deja vu kind of scenario, memories of messages being delivered still fresh despite the test of time.
It was almost ironic in a way that after so much running that he somehow found himself being used as an errand boy... Although keeping in mind who his father was, perhaps it was just, how was it again...? Ah, yes.
Written.
“ Michael’s in charge. ”
He leaned forwards, and he looked every bit of stubborn the other did despite having his arms still crossed in front of his chest defensively. He worded it carefully not to imply Michael was on the throne, since that would technically be a lie; yet it could be understood that way.
“ Don’t even think about it, brother. Things aren’t what they used to; if Michael catches even a whiff of you there’ll be no banishment this time: he’s shootin’ to kill. He’s not hesitant to spill celestial blood either. ”
The familiar title fell off his lips without his consent, yet Gabriel didn’t seem to notice as he barreled on.
“ I dunno’ what your plans are up here, but I have to wonder if it’s worth the danger. There are many angels stationed on earth now an’ it’d take just one to noice. It’s not a neutral settin’ anymore. I’ve heard... There have been whispers goin’ around that speak of war. ”
Up in heaven, on earth, against hell perhaps. It was like watching a bunch of idiots fill a sinking boat with water.
mischiefsmessenger:
Gabriel could almost see waves of annoyance coming off the other Archangel; yet despite the fact that he easy could, the other didn’t try to shove him away, his bitting retort lacking all the bite.
It felt… not familiar, because he had long since forgotten what family was like; but rather cozy.
It felt warm.
‘ … Well, so much for that. ’ The thought entered his mind as he scrunched his nose, turning his head to try to get away from the icy air without moving from his spot, settling for trying to cover Lucifer’s mouth with his hand instead.
“ Air conditioning included, how fancy. ”
Although Lucifer didn´t want to admit it to himself, he enjoyed what he and Gabriel were doing here. Just playing pranks, being children. It felt good. Although he seemed to be annoyed, he was enjoying this very much.
With squinted eyes he let his own wings appear, but unlike Gabriel, he showed his true wings in all their dark beauty. The former white feathers had turned black during his time in Hell, but he was still proud of them. One wing pushed the younger archangel off him, and the sight of HIM being on his back now educed an amused chuckle from him, followed by a snap of his fingers. While a lot of snow began to fall on Gabriel out of nowhere, Lucifer let his wings disappear again. With an arm he propped up his head and watched the scene before him.
“And sudden weather changes as well. What a service, isn´t it?”
The shriek that fell off Gabriel’s mouth as he was pushed to the floor was painfully exaggerated, yet the surprise that flashed through his eyes as he locked eyes with black wings wasn’t. He allowed himself to fall back, not even trying to keep holding onto Lucifer’s shoulders as his hands had already been up in the air as they tried to get a feel of his brother’s feathers on their own accord.
That being said, the second high-pitched sound as snow fell on him was real, if muffled. Too distracted by the enticing sight of wings to recall to just not let himself feel the cold the archangel endured it as he shook his body uselessly try to get rid of it.
His retaliation came in the form of a snow ball aiming for his smug face, yet the full blown attack that had been first planned was cut off as he looked at Lucifer again. The tip of Gabriel’s nose was red, but he didn’t seem to be feeling the freezing bite of snow anymore, making it vanish with a wave of his hand.
“ Hey- ”
Gabriel sounded distracted, a tad hesitant perhaps. He was smiling, though. His fingers twitched.
“ It’s been a while since I last saw your wings. Can I...? ”
.
mischiefsmessenger:
A hand was put near his ear as he leaned forwards, rolling his eyes upwards mockingly as he spoke in a singsong voice.
“ What? Sorry, can’t hear you over the sound of defeat. ”
Childishly pushing the limits was something he did often, and the resulte were fifty-fifty. He knew how much Lucifer hated to be laughed at, and hence he took quick action before things could escalate by moving a wing right in front of the other as a distraction.
They disappeared as fast as they came, but only after he sat on Lucifer’s bent knees weight leaning forwards and hands on the other’s shoulders so he wouldn’t fall should the other move his legs.
“ I think I can start to think ‘bout forgiving you for stealing my chair yesterday; this one’s much better. ”
The word ´defeat´ was clearly an exaggeration and caused the archangel to laugh. He knew better. And just when Lucifer thought Gabriel was done with his antics for today, he had another thing coming his way.
Maybe Gabriel saw it, but his left eye twitched there for a second, in anger, as he realized what his younger brother just dared to do. Like this situation wasn´t already embarassing enough. Thank the absent Father no one was seeing this to be honest.
“Don´t get used to it though…I´m far too busy to be your chair.”
Since he couldn´t move much right now, he decided to blow icy cold air in his face. Cold enough to hopefully freeze Gabriel´s nose, or even more, and force him to go off him again.
Gabriel could almost see waves of annoyance coming off the other Archangel; yet despite the fact that he easy could, the other didn’t try to shove him away, his bitting retort lacking all the bite.

@father-of-all-lies
God was gone, missing? It seemed a ridiculous idea but from Gabriel’s expression, Satan knew this was no deception, he knew his ex-brother well enough. After all Satan knew deception, lived by it. Was that fear that flickered in the others eyes?
How had this information escaped him? Satan had spies all over Assiah!
A single wave of Satan’s hand and every single soul in the busy cafe barring the archangel and demon god were now motionless, caught in the middle of their humdrum lives. The spell would have little effect on the pitiful humans, apart a headache from being frozen in a temporal spell.
Heaven unguarded and leaderless?
And where was God? The demon had not known a universe without him. This changed the balance of things…
“How long have you known this?” he spits, a trickle of blue flame erupted from his mouth “And if you are here? Who is taking charge in Heaven?”
“ ... You shouldn’t do that. It’ll attract attention. ”
The mumble came out with no conviction or strength, eyes dis-lodging from his brother’s even though there was less to see now than ever. Regardless of how sensible his statement was it felt like a pathetic attempt at stalling for time rather than a warning.
Gabriel felt himself shrink under the other’s intense line of questioning, despite of forcing himself to meet Satan’s eyes again in a steadfast manner. It was unnerving, yes, but not to suffer the whole burn of that intense look but rather how much it felt like he was being scolded { it brought memories, which happened to be more unwanted than usual } .
“ We’re not the only archangels ‘round, despite your self-centred beliefs. ”
The former messenger bristled, feeling defensive as he leaned back in his chair.
{ he didn’t like where this was going, and he was certainly not above fleeing. Some would say he was cowering, he’d call it an strategic retreat }
“ Michael’s still up there yanno’. Raphael too. ”
He faltered and stopped, eyes narrowing. He didn’t want to reveal anything about his precarious position, but neither endanger even more conflict by revealing the bloody civil war raging on heaven.
mischiefsmessenger:
Back in heaven the lower-level angels used to say Gabriel’s grace, his ‘song’, was the most beautiful sound in creation beneath his Father’s { and since half of them never even got a glimpse even more so } ; yet the muffled melody of Lucifer’s ass hitting the ground as he fell backwards was unparalleled as far as the former messenger was concerned.
He made sure to look down on his brother, one wing slightly stretched as he made a show of smugly brushing the non-existent particles of dirt off of clear feathers.
“ I’d say I did. ”
He looked ridiculously proud of himself, mirth shinning in golden eyes that were very clearly laughing at Lucifer.
“ I gotta’ admit it, tho; you do look good on your back. ”
As much as seeing Gabriel´s mirth cheered Lucifer up, just as annoying was his whole situation to be honest, because normally the archangel was used to being superior and it was clearly shown in his eyes. Well, but Gabriel was allowed to have this short moment of victory. To look down on him. Just this once.
He sat up to look up at his little brother with a mischievous smirk on his face as he watched him brushing off the ´dirt´.
“Oh, I always look good. Especially when I get my sweet revenge…”
He knew how much Lucifer hated to be laughed at, and hence he took quick action before things could escalate by moving a wing right in front of the other as a distraction.

mischiefsmessenger:
An eye twitch, lips curling downwards as his eyes slightly narrowed. An affronted scowl settled on his face even if Lucifer couldn’t see it.
He resisted temptation for all of three seconds.
Then there was a loud ripping sound and the older Archangel found himself with a face full of golden wings, mouth full of feathers. The appendages were both sudden and big enough to squarely sucker punch his brother in- well, everywhere.
{ those weren’t his real wings, just a VERY USEFUL manifestation of them. Even so, he wouldn’t have dared to do this had this been anyone else. }
“ Ha! “
It was a part of his job description of being one of the oldest creations around, that Lucifer was a dick who thought he was better than almost anyone. Plus teasing his favorite little brother had always been fun, and it still was. However, he KNEW Gabriel was not a fighter, but he probably went a tiny bit too far today.
He actually fought back today, huh?
– Oh shit–! –
And it took him totally by surprise. Before he could even try to step back, he got hit literally everywhere and pushed to the ground harshly. It must have been satisfying to hear the impact as Lucifer hit the ground and the sound of the air getting knocked out of his vessel, because it didn´t happen all too often. The pain only lasted for a few seconds and he already found time for a laugh again.
“It seems today I have certainly hit ´the right spot´, wouldn´t you agree?”

“ I gotta’ admit it, tho; you do look good on your back. ”
A treacherous thought creeped into Gabriel’s mind as he took a few step backwards in response to Lucifer’s own, a voice whispering that had this confrontation been with Castiel he would have probably stood his ground instead.
Then again the messenger wasn’t known for his bravery, and if he were to change that at any point he was sure the seraph wouldn’t be his chosen role model. His supposed ‘courage’ has long since ran over the line of having noself-preservation.
“ Well if it isn’t the universe to blame, then it’s you. Because I’m sure as hell- oh sorry; as heaven- oh whoops, not that one either- ”
If the bitterness on his voice was anything to go by, the sorry was anything but sincere.
“ I’m one hundred and ten percent sure I would have been ecstatic not to have to see you and your daddy issues ever again. ”
After Gabriel’s retreating steps, Lucifer remained in place – not wanting him to leave if he ventured any closer. It wasn’t as if the reason for the recoil was unknown to him, rather it came pushing through to the front of his mind.
He hadn’t changed all that much, not where temperament of word was concerned. Still, it was perhaps a tad unsettling for both of them – only not in the same sense. But this, meeting up once again, it seemed inevitable.
“By that I’ll assume your standpoint hasn’t altered. I am not to blame for this – although, I won’t pretend I’m uninterested.”
The sarcasm was overlooked, let unremarked upon due to the situation at hand.
“I assume you’d prefer it if I was left in the cage? Like Michael is right now. I for one am glad to have run into you again, gives us a chance to catch up.”
Gabriel stopped as Lucifer did, but the discomfort persisted, perhaps incremented. It was eery, the whole situation. The unnatural stillness of the moment doing anything but settling his nerves as he knew full well it wouldn’t last long. It never did.
“ I have no standpoint here. I’ve had enough of this catfight ‘till you feather heads stop runnin’ around with pointy objects that somehow end up getting stuck in my vessel. ”
Catch up.... That sounded ominous and foreboding... and Gabriel didn’t like it one single bit.
“ Glad huh? Well that makes one of us. ”
Then again, nothing of that whole sentence was to his liking. Prefer? Since when had his preferences had place on this game? If he were to chose he’d pick to have a family. He’d pick for dad to be back. He’d want for celestial grace to be inside vessels and not burnt in the shape of wings on the floor.
“ We’ve had this conversation b’fore. I feel like I’m stuck in a time loop whenever I talk with you people, an’ that’s a subject I’d rather teach than experience, thank you. ”
@luciferisbetterthanyou said: Lucifer´s like ´ahhh Gabriel is too soft, he wouldn´t dare to smack me anyway´ and I as the mun say: GO GABE, JUST DO IT.
An eye twitch, lips curling downwards as his eyes slightly narrowed. An affronted scowl settled on his face even if Lucifer couldn’t see it.

“ Ha! “
Lucifer appeared just to give Gabriel a brotherly but also rather proper slap on his butt. Because he can. And also because he enjoyed it. And also because he loved Gabriel, if he believed it or not.
There was half a second on which Gabriel wondered whether or not it was worth to make his wings tangible and outright smack Lucifer in the face with them since this attack came for the back.
He refrained, despite the entertaining mental image.
“ Thank you for coming to see me…. Don’t hesitate to leave. ”
Deadpan reply, moody.
Birthday Cake
Continued from here.
Pandora actually scoffed - scoffed at an angel! She’d be pissed she did that when she went to bed later - and smiled at him. Yes, when Biel first came, she had been stunned. Most angels just-… Well? Appeared. They didn’t actually use the door most of the time. That had been the shock. Looking up from the mail on the dining room table to see who had walked in. And they had wings.
That had been forever ago, though. And while there was powerful warding on the house - against dark magic, demons, all that nasty stuff - she was always thankful to have a little extra firepower around. And an angel? One of the most powerful weapons in Creation? They were welcome whenever they wanted. Except for Metatron. Fuck that guy.
“Alright, alright. Be still, your poor broken heart. Come on, all of you. Come help me set the table.” Some grumbled that the game would be on soon, but she wasn’t having it. “Up, off your asses. Record the stupid game. We’re having cake.”
Even if he was welcome, she wasn’t insane. Or stupid. She had used her abilities to look up and see if there was an angel named Biel. And there was! The Angel of South Flowing Water. (What? How extra is that.)
But Biel had died. Years ago.
In the Fall.
So, who was this guy? Truthfully, she had no idea. When he wasn’t here she was going through her books that identified angels by their wing shape and color. Nothing matched. Maybe that was why he used the door to come into the home. Maybe he was one of the youngest in Creation.
“Biel, sweetheart-” Everyone was sweetheart. Honey. Sweetie. Everyone that stayed in her home was loved by her. He wasn’t any different. “Do you want coffee? Tea, anything?”
Gabriel’s eyes leisurely explored everything in the room despite having been around to have it memorised by now. He would be lying if he didn’t admit that he enjoyed basking in the familiarity of his surroundings, while still keeping his guard up, pagan mojo keeping his grace hidden as usually yet allowing himself small rests here and there since it was already known what he was if not who.
The archangel was comfortable. There was someone here to keep on his radar, yes, but since he was already aware who it was beforehand and he knew to be one step ahead he allowed himself to relax and rest for a while, which was exceptionally rare outside his safe houses { and even those were used rarely, due to their intended purpose } .
“ You got any sweet stuff? Besides yourself, I mean. ”
His cheeky reply was emphasized by a grin and a wink, and he looked like be was barely refraining himself from ‘finger-gunning’ her just to add a little spice to the show.
Gabriel was pretty sure she knew by now even if she had sugary beverages at hand he’d still ask for enough sugar on it for one to wonder whether he was taking the liquid with sugar or the other way around.
“ Apparently I said ‘I need a break’ and just passed out for three decades. ”

“What?!”He exclaimed loudly making the others people around look at them, he gave them a wave and a smile before he looked back at his son.
“I do not look filthy, I took a shower this morning and I’m wearing newclothes.”
“ I didn’t say you are filthy, I said you look filthy. Though perhaps you should check for your ears, you don’t seem t’be listenin’ all that well. ”
“ But look at the bright side: you’re rockin’ the hobo look. ”
@father-of-all-lies
“Pretending to be one of them, I would say it is hardly evolving and quite frankly beneath you, dearest brother but if that is what amuses you, then so be it” Satan huffs with annoyance, how he despised Gabriel’s almost human mannerisms. The old demon takes another sip of his coffee “I cannot be any worse that the incessant and irritating twitterings of those who make up the heavenly host”
The door to the cafe opens and more customers stream in, their clothing wet from the sudden rain shower that had started outside. A rumble of thunder soon follows. Satan, out of instinct looks up at the angry thunder clouds above. Glancing back at the archangel, he chuckles, at the mention of Heaven, suddenly Gabriel was not quite so cocky
“Ah, not seeing eye to eye with your master, angel? You seem to have got off quite lightly, if that is the case but then again, you could do no wrong in his eyes, eh?”
No one held a grudge like Satan, no one held so much hatred in their blackened heart towards what was once family like Satan and no one was a jealous and spiteful as he.
“ Beneath me? Glad to see you still got at least some amount of faith in good ol’ me. ”
Despite Gabriel’s sour mood at the topic at hand { not that it could have been any other way, but expecting it doesn’t mean enjoying it } he used the cup that had been on his lips a moment ago to hide a fleeting smirk that he couldn’t be bothered to repress. He was shamelessly twisting words and he was well aware of it... but hey, wouldn’t it be nice ?
“ ‘Our master’, as far as I remember. ”
It was ironic, the ‘our father’ unsaid but clear nonetheless. He decided to leave that there and speak before the other could, not looking for confrontation.
“ Not eye to eye, no. Or eye to face, or eye to hand, for that matter. ”
And God wasn’t the only one he was not ‘seeing eye to eye’ at the moment, since he was very pointedly refusing eye contact. Golden eyes seemed to lazily trail towards the window, even if his jaw was tensed.
The Pagan’s avoidance wasn’t out of fear, he wasn’t scared of his brother { not MUCH anyways. If things god ugly he would flee, and he knew for a fact he was faster } but rather how many unwarranted comparisons popped in his head, similarities he’d rather not self-reflect about all but jumping at him.
He was bitter at God too, angry. He left and turned his back on heaven.
But it wasn’t the same. Gabriel missed his family and THAT was why he was so resentful. He wanted them back together even though he knew it’d never happen. He could never hurt them, any of his kin.... not even Satan himself { the other didn’t need to know that, of course } .
“ In fact, no one has seen any of him in a long time. ”
He finally made eye contact, brows furrowed and mouth set in a hard line as he lifted his chin defiantly.
“ He’s MIA. ”
