could you get a portion of a tson's sand and melt it into a glass object? would you have sentient glass if able to? or would it being separate from them for a period of time render it "dead"?

Quite the query! I believe such glass would not maintain the sentience of a marine, as I have seen my brothers shed sand before, and it did not stay connected to them. However, occasionally, a dead brother’s sand is gathered and melted into something of significance. Perhaps a goblet, a pendant, or something else related to what they cared about. I rather hope no one has attempted to melt living sand down, as that sounds rather uncomfortable, but I shall ask around!
