Losing a best friend hurts like hell. That girl was a force to be reckoned with and I am going to miss her. She taught me everything I know about mixing a good drink and even more about growing to be a better, stronger person while keeping your head up despite all the bullshit being thrown your way. You couldn’t ask for a better friend to tell you like it is and then hug you afterwards. I learned a heck of a lot from her and I’m going to miss the banter and friendship so much.

Have you seen a piece of art that you really love? Are you thinking of reposting it instead of reblogging the original? Pro Tip: DON’T DO IT MY DUDE. Reblog the damn original post. The artist did not work countless hours on a piece just for you to repost it and get the notes that don’t belong to you. For some artists, having the exposure of a reblog that leads someone back to their art blog could mean a new commission, or an exciting opportunity at something bigger. Don’t cheat an artist just because you want some notes on your fandom blog.

As a psychologist the amount of bullshit on this site, the amount of fucking dangerous bullshit on this site about how therapy is neurotypical bullshit and isn’t worth it and how exercise is pointless and good diet is pointless and that therapy homework is pointless DRIVES ME UP THE FUCKING WALL

Exercise is fucking important. good diet is fucking important therapy is fucking important. WHY???

because pills alone don’t help. they improve the hormonal imbalance (as does exercise and good diet which ALSO are a form of very real self care as your physical being is sorta connected to your mental one but go fucking figure right?), but guess what? the suicidal thoughts, the thoughts of harm, the thoughts of hating yourself, they’re still there.  suicides actually increase when medicated.  why? because suddenly you have the energy to fulfill thoughts of harming yourself.  which is why you NEED therapy alongside pills.

it has taken you years, or decades to create your maladaptive thought processes and behaviours.  that shit doesn’t disappear overnight. core beliefs don’t change overnight. these are the very fucking core of your personhood, your being and personality. THAT TAKES TIME TO CHANGE

STOP ACTING LIKE THERAPY IS SHIT IF IT DOESNT WORK IN TWO SESSIONS

Personal Note:  If you’re a targeted writer like me, blocking them could make them angrier and possibly goad them into reporting you to ff.net. That being said, you don’t have to worry about being harassed by them and you do block them from being able to follow your work. If you want to take away the risk of them messaging you as a guest, you can always disable your anonymous review feature. 

This is the right decision for me, as I don’t recognize their self-appointed authority and have serious issues with empowering vigilante-style harassment groups. That being said,  every writer is having to decide a course of action for themselves that they can live with, for personal ff.net accounts are at stake here, and people are frustrated and scared. Once again, if I’m taken down by the powers that be at ff.net, I’m not worried about it. Everything is going up on AO3, and I have years worth of saved reviews from my wonderful readers..
