People love to push the narrative about how well connected c and f are but really Hudson knows/is known by all these ppl too, sometimes first. Hudson hangs out with people from the cast of Industry and then F and C become friends with them and their fans make a big deal over it, Nia Da Costa talks about Hudson then Connor works with her and his fans make a big deal over it, Hudson becomes friends with that Dante DJ guy and gets invited to baz luhrmans bar and Connor then goes too and goes to lunch with Baz after and his fans make a big deal over it, Gracie abrahms phones into hudsons shut up Evan podcast episode and then she is seen interacting with Connor (prior to casting announcement) and his fans make a big deal of it.
Not to mention Francois approaching designers he's worn or show runners approaching hudson to guest star in the same things as others in the cast are.
I just find it funny how hyped up the fandom gets about the others meeting and working with ppl like it's proof of their teams doing something better than Hudson's when it's people who Hudson knows or who have mentioned him too and has likely spoken with as well. Like Hollywood is actually quite small at a certain level idk why people underestimate his networking abilities or his team at CAA.
Wow I didn't even realize this until you laid it out so clearly anon! Because you're right that these people have met and/or talked about Hudson but of course it doesn't get the same reaction compared to the other two.
They underestimate Hudson's abilities because they're convinced that it's Connor who needs to rein Hudson in and show him how to act in a room of professionals 😒. Hudson only knows how to be a "chaos monster" while Mr. Classy has to show him the ropes. That's the narrative that they've been telling themselves so of course they don't think that Hudson can manage just fine on his own (which we have so much proof of). Even before signing with CAA, just seeing how connected he was to Vancouver's indie film scene, the community he built, and how fondly the supporting cast of HR talked about him, it was always clear that Hudson knows how to connect with people. He's charming, charismatic, funny, humble, and cares so deeply about his craft that it's not surprising at all that him and his team are making connections. And they don't need to blast those connections for PR either.
