Just wanted to say that when moms ignore their daughter’s feelings over mantaining the family’s (males’) “peace”, when moms prioritize not causing a trouble over their daughters’ lived experiences, when your mom doesn’t stand up for you, when your mom doesn’t believe you, when the feelings of your brother/father/uncle/cousin are more important than their actions towards you… It’s really heartbreaking.

That’s what teaches girls to stay quiet and endure. Nothing made me more anxious about speaking up than knowing I wouldn’t be supported by my mom. I didn’t care about my father/brother/uncle/cousin’s retaliation. I didn’t care if they screamed in my face, I didn’t care if I cried and looked ‘weak’. I cared when my mom would look at me disappointed. I cared about being forced to apologize. I cared about the person I thought was in the same boat, the person who would understand my anger more than anyone making me feel like I was crazy and deranged for being so upset over what I thought was real.

That’s when your spirit, when your ferocity starts to break. You love your mother so you stop saying anything so she won’t be upset that her illusion of a perfect family is not real. You love your mother so you stay quiet and doesn’t cause trouble even though your blood is simmering. And after awhile it becomes routine. You’re now used to it. No one will support you so what difference does it make. You feel like a shell during family reunions because you’re really just pretending to be there.

And then years later, when you finally have enough and stop contacting anyone, after you moved away, after all of the strenght to fight back has been thoroughly suppressed, she asks you why. Why do you feel so wronged. What did they ever do to you. Why can’t you love them like they love you.

Actually men morally have no place discussing birth rates when overpopulation is their fault in the first place. Overwhelmingly when you educate women and give them control and power to decide when and if to have kids and how many, they choose fewer kids. Men choose more. Ergo overpopulation is a MAN made problem with a WOMAN made solution. Women deserve control of reproduction 100%, and men are so salty about that.

Like when men talk about overpopulation they talk about it in such detached abstract terms as if they and their forefathers haven’t been responsible for all of it for centuries of human history. Men can shut up for the next 2000 years about birthrates actually. You get to have a kid if a woman says so. And you should do everything women tell you to do to make a world worth bringing kids into. You do 0% of the reproductive labor so you get 0% of the opinion.

Power for women means less power for men. That's the whole point. Men will have to be more fearful. Men will be disadvantaged relative to their fathers. They will perceive this as injustice because they're so used to female inferiority that even equality seems like an injustice to them, but that doesn't make it so. Men weren't happy about sexual harassment legislation, not one bit. They hated #metoo. They hate any limit on what they perceive to be their god given infinite sexual license. Well let them seethe. Girls' bodies aren't acceptable collateral damage in boys maturation, part of teaching men not to rape means punishing them for transgressing when they are boys. This is simply what must be done for generations until the message gets through.

Men are squatters. They occupy everything that does not belong to them. They hold onto any discipline they believe they are superior at, enticing each other's arrogance and narcissism. Much like he who fogs up a mirror and then complains it's opaque, they do everything in their power to subdue women and then use it as a justification for their baseless domination of the world. They are nothing: they do not have any claim to any discipline.

Men are squatters. Since nothing belongs to them, they can and must be thrown out of what should be ours.

May I add that, this is more than likely another example of men who have not actually gotten to know a woman, actually listened to a woman and probably have not actually been willing to actively listen to a woman when having a conversation with one.
