I’ve been asked how to make my weird little bookmarks, so here is a lovely tutorial for you all!
I saw the idea for this somewhere, I forget where, and I put my own spin on it, making strange monster creatures, because I’m a weirdo.
You know how to make a square out of a normal rectangular piece of paper, right? Fold your paper down diagonally so edge meets edge in a triangle, and the upper point of the triangle is symmetrical, then trim off the excess.
We will be leaving the paper folded into this triangle rather than cutting the square into two triangles, because the double layer of paper adds structural stability.
Place the folded square with the long side up, then fold both top corners down to meet the bottom corner. Crease and open back up.
Fold the bottom point up to meet the top edge in the middle.
Fold both sides back down.
Place a strip of tape down the crack on the back (heh heh heh…)
Use a small square of tape to secure the pointy ends so they don’t get snagged on anything and messed up.
Congratulations! You just made a super weird little bookmark thingy. Now go put it to use and read some books!
