My wrists ache. My forearms scream every time I rest them on my office desk. My motivation is at an all time low. But 2 weeks no sugar is the triumph I am clinging to right now to get me through the day. Side note people at work give me the dirty looks while I wait to take the elevator down 2 floors instead of using the stairs. I just can't face stairs at the moment.

Feel like a zombie today. Yesterday after a short nap during the day, I had a short bout of sleep paralysis which caused me to have a intermittent and interrupted sleep last night. Feeling the brain fog! And all I want is sugar.

As you all may understand, my weight fluctuates just by sniffing a donut. Right now I am feeling a little bit crappy and trying to make a change by cutting sugar out again. The goal is to lose this belly bloat asap. But I can also see some pineapple lumps in my desk drawer calling out to me!

Hi, i just saw your blog and i wanted to say that i've been dealing with hypo since i was 15 days old. Yes, literally 15 days old, now i'm sixteen (turning 17 on 17th of july) and yeah, it really sucks. Sometimes i forget to take my pills. I gain weight easily but losing it... Not that easy. Anyways, i really liked your blog! Keep going!!

Sometimes it's just easier to say you're fine. I get self conscious and sometimes feel like I am constantly complaining. Yes I do always have something going on that's causing and issue but I feel like the people around me don't need to know or don't care to know, especially when it's a constant state of being. I shouldn't feel that way though, not for loved ones anyway. My partner gets frustrated when I say I am fine with my screwed up pain face! He clearly knows I am not fine. I need to break this habit. I need to be comfortable with that fact that if I say " I am struggling to stand on my left leg because putting weight on it feels like my muscles on fire." He's not going to get up and leave me.

I just got diagnosed with hypothyroidism literally a few days ago but I've been feeling its effects for months now. I was just wondering if you had any advice for when I have low energy? Like a lot of times I have to just go to sleep I'm so tired after doing small basic things. Also I'm just curious if you've noticed having worse hangovers? Idk if you're a drinker but I feel like alcohol exacerbates my symptoms the next day. 😊

I definitely have bad hangovers. Staying away from sugary drinks makes it not as bad. And I find if I have less sugar I have more energy. X

hello there! so glad i came across your page ive had hypothyroid since with and it sucks!! sometimes i dont even know what im doing or ill be very confused and lost and think of my past alot and wonder why my thinking has changed. ugh i hate it with a passion.. the one thing that scares me the most is the weight gain. im 22 and weigh 109 and im taking levothyroxine 100mcg. it has helped with my depression but i hope i can get my levels right cause for the last 4 years it was way to low

I hope so for you as well. I thought the weight would fall off after I got my medication right. But it didn't start shifting till I changed my diet.

whats the foods i should avoid?

What I try to avoid is broccoli, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, cabbage, gluten and soy. Also I feel like sugar really affects me as well!

Hi. I'm 16 and have been dealing with hypothyroidism since I was 7. I saw your picture about waiting an hour before food. My doctors have never told me this. I've been taking it with breakfast everyday of my life. Sorry for writing it's just lately my thyroid has been acting up and I want to thank you for sharing this.
