I love reading all the theories about who wrote each part of LoTR and how, and my favourite addition to it is probably the idea of Sam actually writing/editing his own POV parts in all three main books, which is also painfully obvious.

Because when Frodo describes himself we don't really have much of description of his looks or/and oftenly his personality. We know what he says, what he thinks and what he does but it is rarely accompanied with any kind of physical description from him, because he has no desire to describe himsef detailingly.

When we move to Sam's pov, however, we have whole multi-paragraph description of how beautiful Frodo is, how his almost transparent skin shines under the sun, how peaceful his face is in his sleep, how cheerful is his laugh and how painful it is to look at his hardships. Like, the difference beetwen Frodo from general pov and Sam's POV is incredibly sweet and so, so funny.

Frodo: This is Frodo. Frodo is Just A Guy. He's currently going through the worst time of his life. Frodo looks like Frodo. Please, let him exist in this mortal plane for one more second.

Sam: This is the most beautiful creature and being on the whole Middle Earth. There's no one braver and better and more resilient than him. Here's twenty paragraphs about how wonderful he is and how beautiful his naked skin is in a Mordor Torture Chamber. I love him so much did you know that Frodo Baggins is so majestic. Did you know that.

"Sky, what's up with those trippily ugly tag colors!?" don't even... don't😔 Dividers by @little-periwinkle. I use this tag icons(custom) code from @zerafinacss.

𓊲 I've promised to make The Backrooms ao3 skin if i like the movie, and i do! My motivation further rocketing after seeing @milkysea-02 backrooms AU fic in the middle of making this skin. A very very simple one, made it so quickly and a little odd but hey The Backrooms itself is odd so i'm good right guys?

Tutorial how to activate the skin + the code :

‌Copy the code i provided in this GitHub, there is a copy button at the top right(•••) of the code box. And here if you prefer Google doc.

‌Sign to your AO3 account, after that go to "Dashboard".

‌On your "Dashboard", tap on a section called "Skins".

‌On the "Skins" page, tap on the button labelled "Create Site Skin".

‌Give your site skin a unique title, i usually use 2-4 word for the skins that i saved. IF YOUR SKIN NAME IS NOT UNIQUE, YOU CAN'T SAVE THE SKIN.

‌Paste the codes you copied from my GitHub into the "CSS" box.

‌When you're done, scroll to the bottom of the page and click a button labelled "Submit". This will save your site skin and take you to a new page where you can see the title of your skin as well as all of the code.

‌Click "My Site Skin" and you can see the skin are added, press "Use" to activate it.

dinluke is fun to me because they’re both characters reckoning with the inheritance of an entire genocided people and dealing with deeply political intricacies while trying to figure out what their culture means to them + they are canonically in a situation where they could end up coparenting. which just sets up a potentially fascinating dynamic. also i think din would be really into getting snapped in half by that twink which is really neither here nor there
