Spoilers for The Summer Hikaru Died Chapter 46.2

One thing which really made my stomach churn was seeing how Satou treats 'Hikaru' like a tool to be used rather than a person worthy of equal respect, and specifically how this is expressed through unconsentual touch. She grabs his face, his thigh, she's left him partially undressed for the whole town to see. It's deliberately humiliating, and more than that, it even starts to feel a bit rapey. Not in a literal way, but in an allegorical way, stripping him of his bodily autonomy and using his compulsion to force him to do something he absolutely does not want to do. Her demand is that he show everyone his "true form", his naked self unclothed by human flesh, until now unclothed for no one but Yoshiki.

The whole scene is a forced outing, and homophobia is at its core an exertion of control over the bodies of others. It's brilliant writing from Mokumokuren. It's absolutely revolting.
