update i tried another banana today to see if that was a weird random fluke and no it wasnt tho i stopped eating it much sooner so i ate less and took a benadryl much sooner so im fine i didnt have nearly as severe of a reaction today

this is so dumb i guess im fucking allergic to bananas now💀💀💀

i dont know if ive ever touched latex bc i think (?) the gloves i use in chem and bio labs are nitrile but now im curious if im allergic to latex too

I haven't seen enough posts appreciating eva stratts wardrobe. thank you phm costuming department for looking at the woman who is kept functional by coffee and sheer force of will and who has the weight of the world quite literally resting on her shoulders and deciding that she shouldn't be dealing with women's formal wear on top of all that.

Stratt has a calendar on the walls of her prison cell. There's a tiny scribbled date all the way on the other side of the small room, barely legible except for the year: 2037. Before bed every night she scratches through the day, each one bringing her closer and closer to the end.

The guards mock her. She's never getting out of here. What's she counting down for?

But for someone who's imprisoned for life, no parole, she seems remarkably at peace. She doesn't cry, she doesn't plead. She reads. She sings sometimes. She counts off her days.

Beyond the walls, the wars are blazing. People are fighting, and starving, and dying. But there are also people helping. People risking everything to save who they can. They still believe in the Hail Mary.

In 2037, Stratt crosses off the last day. This is the day she will escape, when the team who have been working in her stead will meet her outside the prison and whisk her away to her place as the head of operations where she belongs.

At the same time, almost twelve light years away, Ryland Grace wakes up out of his coma.

a very silly idea for phm strattland au / canon divergence (where we completely ignore and erase the fact that stratt goes to prison, please let my girl take a breather for like a millisecond): hail mary launches as planned, grace stays on earth, goes back to teaching middle school science, he is just chilling, maybe occasionally thinking about how stratt is doing while they wait for the probes to arrive back on earth - only to bump into none other than the mysterious petrova taskforce director eva stratt in the school corridors. because guess who is the new middle school history teacher? 😏 history major eva stratt, my beloved.

stratt being socially awkward with kids at first (grace is very amused by this) (eventually grace takes pity on her and helps her adjust)

the kids wondering what the heck is going on between these two (if you thought the betting pool on the vat was wild just wait until a bunch of middle school kids join the game :D)
