I really hate the whole cat v dog thing. I love all animals equally. But the comparison irks me a bit.

A big thing I hear for example is how happy a dog is to see you come home versus a cat. Now I just want to tell you that you have not met my cats. I'll come home after a long day of work and my cats see me and they spaz out. Like they will jump up on me, meow, they get so excited and follow me around everywhere. They start acting like crackheads. I love all animals, I have no preference. I just happen to have 7 cats.

Or my one cat got injured a few weeks back and I had to go pick him up, as soon as he saw me his meow could have been the equivalent to a bark The neighbors that I was with were very surprised at his reaction. You can't tell me cats Don't feel the same ways dogs. They just express it a bit differently.

I have this problem where I use tv quotes from really offensive scenes and use it in a completely wholesome situation.

For example. Anytime I am interrupted in my work, I lovingly say, "Well, back to it!" Even though the quote I'm using is from the scene in The Walking Dead where Negan is apologizing about popping Glenn's eye out, and then he says for mentioned quote, and proceeds to finish Glenn off.

It's awful because that scene broke my heart. Still makes me cry. But my dark twisted mind somehow decides that's what it took from the scene and now it's a day to day quote of mine. Help me.

When somebody leaves me on read, and messages me back after a long period of time, and replies to the last message I sent them as if two months didn't just go by, that's the energy I love.

Just a reminder that you don't have to look a certain way or fit a certain description to enjoy certain kinds of music. All too often, people who seem " shocked " about "normal" people enjoying metal music or something like that. Especially with the youth and I was one of them in my young age, where I felt that if I enjoyed a certain type of music I have to look like I enjoyed that certain type of music. And I honestly feel like it's way too limiting because if I were to try to take the time to look like I enjoyed certain types of music, my entire style would be all over the place. I would look ridiculous! I have met many passionate metal heads who just look normal. And I've met people who look like they only listen to metal and that's it.They look so scary, so brutal and then all of a sudden they'll put on you know, some Boy George or classical music.

A customer told me today, "You are so nice!! Are people mean to you?" And I know she didn't intend on sounding rude, but she was genuinely surprised about my kindness.

And it made me really sad, because she saw right through me. Yes, the reason I am kind is because almost everyone I've ever loved has been abusive. All I know is abusive relationships. I know what it's like to be treated like shit, so I refuse to treat others the same way. And I'm emotional about it. Tearing up as I'm typing this. Because now I'm questioning how obvious it is. How can a complete stranger read me so well? How obvious is it to my friends and family? I write this as a way to vent. I've never had my kindness questioned in such a manner before. To me, it's just my nature. And it just makes my heart more heavy for the amazing kind people who are the beacons of light in everyone's otherwise dark world, because I realize they must have endured the same pain I must have. Just know you are seen and felt.
