Crunchyroll having the Episode of Sabo appear right after every new episode is a calculated decision designed to keep me in my Sabo Hyper-Fixation forever. Every week when i go to watch the newest episode, I’m reminded of him.
I recommend watching that episode though, its a great recap of the first part of Dressrosa if you dont want to trudge through all the long-drawn out anime scenes
I swear to god, within like 5 years, im gonna have the entire Dressrosa arc illustrated. Im not actively trying to do it, i just really like drawing themn
This feels like the perfect time to add my Prompto #cosplay to my blog! He is my favorite of the boys because despite everything he looks on the bright side and is a ray of sunshine even when it rains. He believes in his friends even over his own eyes (the train situation) because he knows deep down something was off. Also we both love #chocobos 🥰
TLDR: Either Zeref is a necrophiliac or in the Fairy Tail universe pregnancy can occur from a single kiss.
⚠️spoiler warning for Fairy Tail the final season⚠️
Zeref and Mavis have a kid. But how? When did they find time to conceive a child? Zeref is very against touching people for obvious reasons, Mavis included.
It’s such a big deal that it turns into the start of their relationship with Mavis making her illusions that he can’t “touch”
For this entire first encounter they never touch and Zeref leaves as soon as he is done teaching. The next time they meet he is still reluctant to touch Mavis, even recoiling as she approaches.
Mavis hugs him anyway and this is very obviously the first time the two of them have ever touched as Zeref himself is surprised.
There is a small time skip here where they move to a meadow but are still sitting far enough apart that they aren’t casually touching.
While it is possible that they got physical in this time it’s unlikely since Mavis is a blushing mess when Zeref simply touches her face and is confused as to what exactly he is doing. (Also the first kiss is later so it would be very out of order)
This is when he discovers that she is also cursed like him and can’t die. Even though he can now reasonably assume it is safe to touch her because she can’t die he backs off and explains that she is also cursed. Mavis panics and runs off almost immediately.
The third and final time they meet with their physical bodies Zeref maintains his distance until Mavis once again initiates contact and it’s clear he wasn’t expecting it.
they finally kiss and it is implied this is the first time
Because as soon as they kiss Mavis "dies" as much as an immoral being can die anyway.
the next time we see them Zeref is dumping Mavis in front of the guild hall
he acknowledges that she is essentially a corpse
and leaves with a guilty conscience.
Which begs the question...
Prect immediately puts Mavis's body in the lacrima
And years later he discovers that Mavis is pregnant with Zeref's child.
That's what I wanna know Prect!
That's EXACTLY the issue! anyway, continuing.
Turns out Zeref himself was not expecting his activities to produce a child.
Where does this leave us?
the way I see it one of three things is true and I really want to be wrong so please let me know if you see a different option.
A) They had sex before kissing and felt no emotional connection from it or the curse would have knocked one of them out. and Mavis was pregnant the entire year she ran around trying to kill herself without knowing. this seems unlikely though.
B) Zeref is a creep and the reason there was a time skip right after the kiss was that it would significantly increase the shows rating if it was even implied. This is so wrong on so many levels but the only logical conclusion I can draw.
C) In the Fairy Tale universe sex is not needed to conceive children as a single kiss (the only interaction we have any indication happened) is followed by pregnancy. (see below for more evidence)
They kiss, then eventually (not everyone conceives on the first try after all)
Levy is pregnant.
If this option is correct then that colors this scene in a whole different light..
...yeah... gross.
anyway please let me know if anyone has an idea that disproves this! I really really want to be wrong! Zeref was such a good character until I realized this and now he is dead to me.
