I explained the episode where cas gets conversion therapied into killing dean only for Dean to be able to break the brainwashing by saying “I need you” on his knees, and it really does sound. So absurd when you say it out loud

Me: so the episode starts with cas and Dean fighting, and Cas killing Dean and you’re like. What the fuck. And then the camera pans out and you just see hundreds of Dean bodies around him

Today, Cas grabs Dean by the shoulder, catching him as he trips over a stray towel that had fallen on the kitchen floor. He is taken back momentarily to Hell, all those years ago, pulling the same man up and away from harm. Clearing his throat, he quickly removes his hand from Dean's shoulder, murmuring something about how they "have to stop meeting like this".

This scene is sooo !!!!!!, because knowing what we know now, this is Chuck trying to figure out why Cas wasn't following along with his story dirrectly from Cas. This is Chuck freaking out because one of the characters in his story keep improvising and ripping his script while he sees one of the main characters (Dean) starting to do the same. The only solution he came to was to self insert and ask Cas himself.

But the thing is, in a show that was all about choice, they took his away. A lifetime of choices stolen from him, by his father, by their mission, by a spiteful, bored god. And yet somehow, after everything, he’s free; free to choose, free to live, free to love - maybe even for the first time. But instead they kill his best friend, who dies saving and loving him, and then nail Dean to the cross too

As a language enthusiast, I so much appreciate the gradual development of Grace-Rocky connection. They begin with simple words, that I can imagine how to show to an alien, then they develop phrases, long sentences and what’s so cool: science terms comes before emotions, because if you think about it, of course Petrova line is easier to understand for an alien than a hug. And in the end, on the Erid when Grace and Rocky speak without a laptop - I nearly cried because of course they speak without it, they made an effort for each other!
