cote season 4 just finished today. this was easily one of the anime i was looking forward to the most this year, and honestly, the first 4 episodes were absolutely mind-blowing 🤯🔥

but if i'm being honest, the pacing got a little slow at times, and let's just say i had higher expectations 😅 still, it was definitely a fun ride from start to finish.

and can we talk about the ending of episode 16?? 😭🔥 ayanokoji managed to win once again. he survived the exam and avoided getting expelled. all the crazy second-years, the devastated nagumo (who i actually really like), and the first-year students who failed to kick ayanokoji out...

bro just keeps winning 💀

it’s 2025, and there’s barely any k project merch available anymore. back in 2012, i was still in elementary school and couldn’t afford to buy anything they released.

luckily, i managed to find a preloved figure of fushimi saruhiko (my favorite anime character of all time. i still consider him my ultimate no. 1 anime character even now, and i loooove mamoru miyano). i’ve always had a weakness for twisted black-haired guys, so yea.. whenever i fall in love with an anime, i always want to keep physical manga or an anime figure as a memento.

because of that, it honestly made me really sad when i finally had adult money but still couldn’t find any k project merch.

the figure didn’t come with a standee, so i had to make my own, but at least i now own one official k merch. i’m so happy 😭😭

(1)I don't know if someone already asked you this prompt or not, what if Munakata died on Mihashira attack, like he was killed by Hisui or Iwa-san? Green clan still stole the Slate, so Fushimi still carred his secret mission, last mission from his King. Either he quietly leaves when Scepter 4 is in distraught or he 'mocked' Munakata on his funeral and declared that he will go to stronger King than Munakata, because he was power hungry and all. Scepter 4 is still exist, just like old Scepter 4

I definitely see Fushimi still carrying out his mission and literally not telling anyone that this was part of Munakata's plan because he's an idiot with problems. Like imagine when Iwa-san breaks Munakata's sword maybe he shoots Munakata too, and being a King he's able to break Munakata's shield and kill him. This of course leaves Scepter 4 extremely shellshocked and I think the rest of the clans would be too, losing another King at such a bad time and knowing that this is going to hurt Scepter 4. I imagine Yata trying to talk to Fushimi in the aftermath, like I think Homra's reaction would be a bit more subdued here and there would definitely be less talk about Munakata failing in light of his death. Yata I think would be worried about Fushimi's reaction and want to try and use this like a terrible common ground, sort of a 'I know what this feels like if you want to talk' olive branch and Fushimi rebuffs him in a similar manner as he does in canon, complete with the whole 'come and chase me' bit.

Then at Munakata's funeral Awashima's like giving this heartfelt speech and Fushimi interrupts her with a cold laugh. Awashima scolds him and Fushimi says it's just stupid, Captain failed and here they're mourning him when he was so useless. Hidaka tries to get Fushimi to step back and Awashima tells him to leave if he's going to interrupt like this (sternly but also somewhat kindly I think, I feel like Awashima would be angry but also aware that Fushimi is having so many issues with Munakata's death that he is not at all dealing with). Fushimi snorts and says in front of everyone that he doesn't see the point in staying with a clan that's already broken, leaving his coat and sword at Munakata's grave before storming off. Like in canon this is where he begins his jungle mission, not answering any of Awashima's further emails and calls and just falling off the radar as he frees Douhan and begins earning his jungle points.

Eventually everyone finds out that he's joined jungle and the alphabet boys are shocked, like no one can believe that Fushimi really defected. Yata I could see having more mixed feelings than in canon, he's angry but he also worries that this is like Fushimi being Fushimi and running from the loss he can't deal with. I wonder in this AU if S4 would get a new head, like imagine Prime Minister Dweeb appointing someone who hamstrings the whole department because they're actually working for jungle. Awashima starts talking to Anna and Kusanagi as she finds herself like demoted or ignored by this awful new guy and they tell her about the plan to destroy the Slate. Awashima agrees to it in Munakata's memory, like having suffered the same loss Anna and Kusanagi have she's more willing to go this route. The new S4 head tries to stop her when Hisui awakens the Slate and she resigns over speakerphone, striding off with Homra and Hakumaitou. The new S4 head tells the alphabet squad to go arrest her and instead Akiyama states that with all due respect he feels the new leader has deviated from Scepter 4's mission and as the next highest ranking officer he's basically relieving the new guy of his duty. The new guy is all 'oh are you' and tells the other S4 guys to arrest Akiyama, they're like yeah he relieved you of duty already and they escort new guy to the dungeons while Akiyama leads the rest of S4 to help Homra and co.

Meanwhile Yata's all worried about Fushimi still, like in this scenario maybe rather than going straight to save Fushimi Yata more wants to at least talk to him, like if he's our enemy I want to be the one to fight him but if not I want to at least talk him down. Everyone's surprised when the door to jungle's hideout opens and Awashima finds herself wondering if maybe, it could be... and Yata's eyes go really wide as he figures this could only be one person's doing. Yata heads down to go after Fushimi as Iwa-san shows up to stop the group and maybe in this AU Zenjou actually does something and holds him off while Awashima, Kusanagi, Anna and Hakumaitou put the plan in motion. Yata saves Fushimi the same way as in canon but this time refuses to leave Fushimi underground after Fushimi admits this was all Munakata's plan and that he basically expected to die here as a traitor when he was really fulfilling his King's dying wish. Maybe at the same time Homra's having issues clearing out the floors and it looks like the plan may be in danger of failing and say that's when the rest of Scepter 4 gets to show up as the cavalry, rescuing Fushimi and supporting the rest of Homra as they get things in place for everyone else to destroy the Slate.

R-romantic content of Fushimi…with….girls? Is this because of that ask about him only getting paired with guys XD I do think it’s hard to imagine him in relationships with anyone outside the main cast in general, I very much tend to read Fushimi as demisexual and only attracted to people once he gets to know them. Fushimi doesn’t like letting people get close to him and he’s not good at getting close to other people either, so I feel like it would be hard for him to just end up with a significant other who exists outside his own little orbit. In this case I think it would be similar to some of the ‘Fushimi/random guy’ asks I’ve had, where Fushimi meets her somewhere outside of work and sees her often enough that he’s able to relax around her. Like imagine he goes to some coffee shop regularly outside of work, because he can set up his laptop and work in silence without annoying subordinates or irritating superiors bugging him. There’s a waitress there who just ends up being the one to help him most of the time, she gets good at noticing when he’s running low on coffee and also when he’s had too much, like she’s the only one in the shop who doesn’t quiver when Fushimi glares at her and grumbles that isn’t it her job to keep refilling his drink, as long as he’s paying. I think the girl would probably have to be pretty patient with Fushimi’s bad attitude, like she thinks he can be a jerk but also he always leaves a big tip so she feels comfortable enough to sternly let him know when his hands are shaking and he needs to take a break. 

Any girl who hooks up with Fushimi would probably have to be the one to ask him out too, since I don’t see Fushimi being the kind of person who would ask someone on a date out of the blue. Like maybe she asks him out for breakfast one day or something, a low key way to hang out and Fushimi keeps looking at her blankly but he does show up at the cafe. I think he would definitely be resistant to someone trying too hard to get to know him but he doesn’t mind when she chats with him, and she lets him open up at his own pace rather than attempting to force anything. Fushimi doesn’t tell anyone when he starts to actually date her either, because it’s a pain and anyway he would rather keep someone who isn’t in the world of Kings as far away from that as possible. It would be funny if Fushimi ended up with a girl who’s like a total knockout but he doesn’t even notice, Fushimi’s never really paid attention to that kind of thing and eventually when his clan finds out imagine the alphabet squad boggling because how did Fushimi with his awful personality manage to snag such a babe.

huge fan of isekai manhwa here, so i’m sharing my purely biased top picks of all time 💖 these are the ones that stole my heart, made me laugh, cry, and occasionally scream at the characters. honestly, if a story has a strong female lead, a swoon-worthy male lead, or just pure chaotic energy, you can bet it’s on my list 💃✨ consider this my ultimate “heart and soul” ranking of the isekai historical gems i just can’t stop thinking about.

villains are destined to die

surely a 100/10 manhwa that delivers on story, art, and the male lead. no other words needed. i love penelope, and the slow burn made me fall even deeper into this game. her interactions with callisto made me sooo crazy—they’re just too good for each other 😩🔥. crazy male lead is my favorite, so no doubt callisto will always be my pick. this is hands down my top romance historical manhwa.

2. sister, i'm the queen in this life

gosh, i’m such a sucker for a strong female lead, and this one hits the spot perfectly. pls don’t hate me, but i love the dynamic between ariadne and cesare 😅. the author and artist did an amazing job making this story fun, yet it hits hard to see ariadne still trapped with cesare, the man who ruined her in her past life… and i’m sooo sad watching him keep ruining his chances. even in her 2nd life, alfonso is a win, but crazy male lead still gets me every time 😉. one of the things i loved most is how ari still has ptsd from certain scenes with cesare… amazing story telling written right here.

3. men of harem

another strong female lead (hehe, that’s just totally my vibe) and honestly, she’s everything i love in a protagonist—confident, witty, and completely unapologetic. this manhwa is such a fun ride from start to finish, with so many hilarious moments and unexpected twists that keep you hooked. i absolutely adore the story and the way the characters interact—it’s chaotic, entertaining, and just chef’s kiss 👌 the female lead taking 5 harems and totally breaking stereotypes? yas queen 🙌🔥 finally, a story that proves women can have power, agency, and yes… even 5 concubines 💃💎 it’s empowering, ridiculous in the best way, and i can’t get enough of it 😍

4. not your typical reincarnation story

enemy-to-lovers done so perfectly! i live for a good slow burns stories, and watching killian gradually fall for edith is honestly everything my heart needed. the tension, the small moments, the grudging respect turning into something deeper—it’s just chef’s kiss 👌💖 he’s seriously a total green flag, the kind of male lead who makes you sigh in relief because he actually treats his woman with kindness, patience, and respect. i’m rooting so hard for them to finally get their happy ending, and every chapter that brings them closer makes me both scream and cry at the same time. finally, a story where the male lead actually deserves the female lead—and i’m here for every second of it 😉🔥
