So today I tried this local cafe (Bright Spot Coffee) in my area and it was faboulous. I've always seen pictures of these salmon bagels but never tried them and I did and they were amazing. I can't believe I was missing out all these years. Also oh-my-gawd the cappuccino was so good. wayyy stronger and more flavourful than Starbucks. People will need to start giving their local shops a try. no regrets.

Leaving my job

So tomorrow is going to be the last day at my EMT job. The whole year of experience was very interesting. Though, I did learn a lot and enjoyed the time I had with my 2 partners and patients. The physical demands of the job was not for me. There were many times that I feared that I would hurt my back. There have been times that I got caught up in the moment and really just needed to move the patient and those are the times I was worried the most that. I am 26 and single that is a bad look dating wise and job wise (having a bad back). The fun stuff was when I was shadowing last summer and running emergent calls like MVA, cardiac arrest, overdoses and seizures. I quickly realized that maybe this fast paced life was not for me but I did enjoy every moment. I do not regret working as an EMT. I think I will miss my regulars and having that strong bond that only comes with working with the same person for 12 hours multiple times a week.

Friendly reminder that Miss Congeniality featured a practical self-defense lesson in the middle of a Hollywood movie while also dealing with with issues of sexual assault and victim blaming, dismantling the myth that all feminists need to look and act a certain way, featuring women of color in the pageant without it being any kind of issue, and bringing in an awesome female villain because women can be any kind of character thank you very much.
