Fun fact: in the 5-issue Child's Play comics, Jack Santos (Detective Mike Norris's partner) is gay!

Another fun fact, there are also gay toy soldiers in issue 4 of the comic:

The comics are very gay, especially considering they were released between Child's Play 2 (1990) and Child's Play 3 (1991), so before most of the canon queer stuff in the franchise.

One last tidbit from issue 3 with Karen Barclay that I personally think sounds pretty lesbian but it's admittedly less explicit than the last two:
