Mane Six designs!

I originally was going to stay as close to their canon look as possible, but after seeing so many beautiful AU designs, I wanted to give them new looks.

Twilight has changed the most. I didn't like how she wasn’t a twilight color. She has way more night time influence in the show, when she should be right in the middle. So she gets more sunset colors. She's not any taller in my AU as her friends. Fluttershy and Rarity are the least changed. They're mostly different in build and their hairstyles will change around. Rainbow gets some stockings and wings color. Pinkie has two hoof colors, and (you can't see in the sketch) some feathers from granma Surprise.

And of course AJ is a draft pony. Drafts ponies have a special place in my heart, after my percheron pony passed away. I see AJ as a dun colored pony, with a similar build as a halflinger--tough but not bulky. She and Apple Bloom take more on the slimmer side, while Big Mac will be more of a powerhouse like his dad.

A little peek at Daydream and Feather Frenzy, my (Bex) and Gobo's ponysonas. Both of us are artists, but Gobo's role so far has been consultant of the au. You'll see more of their work later though ;).

I have always been partial to both unicorns and pegasi since the 80s MLP, but my sona is not an alicorn. She's technically a winged unicorn--a hybrid. My headcanon is she's from the Pony Islands (inspired by the pet website PonyIsland) where there's a LOT more pony breeds. Gobo hasn't given me a lot of in-world info on their sona, but so far Feather is a historian/archivist who keeps track of old stories and events. They're really chaotic and has chaos magic. They also are comfortable with lots of supernatural and scary areas of the world.
