emily kinney - be good
now i'm laughing at my boredom, and my string of failed attempts, 'cause you think that it's important, and i welcome the sentiment.

âDid you really think hiding your cheek bones was going to fool anyone?â âDo IâŠknow you?â âHave we met before?â âAre you sure I donât know you?â âYour eyes are absolutely captivating.â âI donât think weâve met yet.â âMay I have this dance?â âYou look positively enchanting this evening.â âIâd know those dazzling eyes anywhere.â âThese skirts make it so hard to move.â âSome of these costumes are so extravagant. They must have cost a fortune.â âYou look quite ravishing in that dress.â âYou look quite handsome in that suit.â âCan I see your face?â âI donât think you want to see my face.â âMy God, you could fit an entire circus under her pannier. Howâd she even fit through the door?â âChampagne?â âMy feet are killing me.â âI never thought Iâd see you in something so fancy.â âI feel like Iâm rubbing elbows with the queen right now.â âCare to sneak away with me? I doubt we will be missed.â âCan you guess who I am under here?â âIâd compliment your beauty, but I canât see it under there. Youâll have to accept my compliments to your mask instead, itâs quite lovely.â âI canât hear you through that mask. Did you really have to choose one that covers your mouth?â âDo you know who I am?â âDo you know who she is?â âDo you know who he is?â âYouâre very light on your feet.â âOw! Itâs like you have two left feet.â âIâm a terrible dancer.â âWho cares if youâre a good dancer? Have fun! No one will know itâs you anyway!â âNo oneâs asked me to dance all nightâŠâ âI feel like Iâm in a dream!â âCan we please go home? This is torture.â âHow did I ever let you talk me into coming here?â âI prefer watching from the sidelines to participating.â âYouâve spent the entire evening at the snack table.â âCan I cut in?â âI have to go.â âIâm not supposed to be here. If they catch me Iâm in trouble!â âPlease. What is your name? I want to see you again.â

@thedragcnbrotherâ
âYou see, itâs easy~,â the dragonâs voice rolled as he leaned forward all to âinterestedâ in this little conversational game with the young lady. âFirst, you kill the person.â He smiled, showing her that he was just talking merely in jest, of course, as if this were a theory and not something that anyone would ever really do. âThen you get one of those viruses you see in those zombie movies you know, where they come back to life. So, when they come back, technically they are dead. Theyâre not really living, and then ... chop,â he exaggerated with a show of the action with his cigarette holding arm. âDead .. again. Twice~.â
He smiled, flicking some of the ashes off his smoke into the little coffee shopâs dish. Tom glances over his shoulder to the shop register. âDo you want something? I mean, I can totally get you something if you like.â
Always a good conversation starter, just a little zombie theorizing over coffee. She grinned at his answer and sat down across from him. âSee, I work with the dead, Iâm a funeral director. I also watch entirely too many zombie movies.â Her fingers tapped on the tabletop as she spoke. âMost zombie movies start in a hospital, which makes sense, but what if the virus takes longer than a few hours? What if the body is at a funeral home? Where else can you find a plethora of corpses? Imagine the poor embalmerâs surprise when their current case climbs off the slab!â She chuckled to herself a moment. âThough to be fair, the prep room is full of viable weapons. So I believe a good funeral director could take the living dead on easily.â His offer was nearly forgotten as she spouted her theories, but with a swift nod she accepted. âOh yes! Just a latte for me, Iâm a simple gal.â

I always advise people to take the love language test, and not so much as a means of learning how you need to be loved by a romantic partner but learning how you need to be loved by yourself.
For instance, if your love language is acts of service then doing nice things for yourself could be a form of self-care. Taking yourself out on dates, treating yourself to nice things when possible, and making accommodations for yourself. If your love language is physical touch, this could mean you lean more toward topical or aromatic self-care methods. You may want to buy body butters and lotions and the act of rubbing on your own body could be soothing; lighting candles, incense, or aroma therapy oils in your dwelling areas may also soothe you.
My love language is words of affirmation so of course, that is exactly what I do for myself. I write sticky notes tailored to my current emotional needs during that time and keep them up on my walls for as long as I see necessary. I recite my daily affirmations while I do my skincare routine, or when Iâm in the shower.
Discovering your love language can be beneficial in romantic relationships but even more beneficial in your current relationship with yourself.
Character A tilting Character Bâs chin up to get a better look at their face and the evidence of the fight. A delicately thumbs away the streak of blood by Bâs mouth, saying nothing as they examine it. After a brief pause, Bâs heart skips a nervous beat as A looks them dead in the eyes. Their voice is quiet and tense, their anger barely restrained.
