As someone with chronic illness who has had to deal with arrogant asshole doctors… if we had more doctors, then

a) they’d burn out and get jaded less,

b) patients could be pickier and shop around more,

c) more doctors means more time per patient and less “wait for 90 minutes to get 15 minutes with the doc, most of which is doing rote perfunctory stuff and not actually listening to you”, and

d) if the education for becoming a doctor was behind fewer paywalls and more accessible, we’d have more neurodivergent doctors, more chronically ill doctors, more disabled doctors- people who could actually understand what their patients were going through!!!

Literally everyone would benefit from this!!!!
