This was definitely the highlight of the episode. Not only because Annerose finally got something to do, but also because it fits perfectly with my headcanon that she's an alpha woman much more similar to Reinhard than people realize.
The main difference is that Annerose is a woman and therefore had to learn emotional restraint much earlier than Reinhard did. She's far better at controlling her feelings, whereas Reinhard tends to wear his heart on his sleeve.
Also,despite wanting to take care of Emil like an older brother, Reinhard has always seemed much better at being taken care of than taking care of others. Annerose, on the other hand, appears completely comfortable in a caretaker role. We even see it with Hilda she immediately knows how to put people at ease and look after them.
That makes sense when you consider their upbringing. Reinhard was the younger sibling, while Annerose was the eldest daughter who ended up taking care of both the household and Reinhard at a very young age.
I also think Annerose is much better at being alone. Reinhard always seems to need a confidant by his side (first Kircheis, then Hilda) Annerose, by contrast, seems capable of enduring solitude without falling apart.
Maybe this is controversial, but I think Annerose could have accomplished much of what Reinhard did if she had been born a man. I'm far less convinced that Reinhard could have survived what Annerose endured.
Annerose was essentially sold to the Kaiser at fourteen and Yet she managed to remain remarkably free of scandal and controversy. Part of the reason Kaiser Friedrich became so attached to her was undoubtedly her beauty, but I also think it was because she was exceptionally composed and discreet. She understood how to conceal her true feelings when necessary.
Reinhard, meanwhile, is far more emotionally transparent. I honestly can't imagine him surviving in the palace for years without an attitude controversy
