So irl has been crazy, but if you have any rps with me I haven’t replied to, shoot me an ask or reply to this post! I’m going to do this for each of my blogs, but I’m also going through the activity so I can at least save the drafts I have to do when I get back to them, I just don’t want to miss anyone just in case Tumblr is rude and doesn’t tell me I got a reblog from a rp!

‘Sure, sorry.’ She strolled over to some crates stacked against the wall, ready for loading onto a ship, and kicked her boots against them a few times in a cheerful rhythm. After a while she glanced up at the sky and asked, ‘You going to be much longer? Only I’ll go get myself a drink if you are. Can’t stand around here watching you die all day. I’m a busy mer.’
Moj’dul’s facade cracked as he chuckled, looking back up at Sham with a smile.
“This one always knows how to make Moj’dul happy. Never change, for Moj’dul would be quite sad t’see you lose that spirit.” He slowly sat up, flinching a little at the pain in his stomach, but he had a better idea in mind.
“Come closer to Moj’dul. He has many things to tell you, and his time is quite short...” The Khajiit gestured for Sham to come onto his lap, a hint of lust in his eyes giving her an idea of where he was going with this.
A Friendly Face

Pleased doesn’t begin to describe how she felt when the Khajiit approached. Not even the confused, or annoyed, stares of the others could ruin her sudden cheery mood.
While he settled in, she remained on the tabletop. Sitting in chairs always led to frustration, and she enjoyed the additional height gained from being on the table. “<Ahjiriba,>” she replied, flashing a toothy smile of her own. “<What is the kind Moj’dul doing in this harsh province?>”
The cathay-raht beamed.
“<Ahjiriba. A good name for a sleek hunter as yourself! Moj’dul is here on business of the privateering sort. With the war going on, tis difficult for all the supply ships to haul their needed cargo, so Moj’dul helps.>” He raised a brow at his companion.
“<Moj’dul is always looking out for his friends. He knows this is a harsh land, even for us. If this one needs help, come find him by the docks. He is never far from port these days.>” He leaned back in his chair with a soft purr.
“<A drink? Moj’dul fancies some food as well, if this one is interested.>”

There was enough time for Sham to grin her approval before a Dunmer, either a lower ranking crew member or possibly just a bystander dragged into the ruckus by sheer momentum, barrelled into her side and sent her sprawling across the floor. She dragged herself up and lunged back into the heat of battle with a hearty cry.
Vilayn, on the other hand, appeared less amused. His initial struggles got him nowhere. Generally, in a brawl like this, he preferred to be on the sidelines offering moral support and the occasional ironic sting of music from his fiddle, not straddled helplessly across the arms of an unfamiliar Khajiit.
Still. There were rules. For example, the Scamps would always band together, whatever sides had been formed, if the guards showed up. Drinks would inevitably be smashed, but not until their owners had managed at least one mouthful. Finally – most importantly – it wasn’t a real brawl until Vilayn’s fiddle was broken over someone’s skull.
He had the fiddle in his hand. Moj’dul’s face was within easy smacking distance. Wrestling his arm free, he lifted the instrument and brought it crashing down in approximately the right direction, with a shriek of broken strings and splintered wood.
Moj was a little stunned by the sudden blow against his skull, the smell of freshly-cracked wood and the tangle of loose gutstring intertwined with his whiskers giving him a reasonable clue as to what had caused it. He looked at the mer holding what little remained intact of the screeching torture device, grinning a little sloppily before pulling him in uncomfortably close to his face.
“Moj’dul loves you.” he growled before pressing a wet kiss against the side of his mouth before tossing him towards a group of wrestling sailors and the regular patrons of the tavern. He giggled while picking off the splintered remains, shaking his head a little before picking up the one that had slammed into Sham, heaving him over his head with a yowl of excitement and throwing the unfortunate patron into a table.
The Khajiit likely was taking it a bit too far, yes, but his appetite for a good-natured scrap had been whetted, and he wasn’t about to let it pass him by.

Generally speaking, a kiss was a very acceptable way to end a night, regardless of the source, and the Scamps usually considered themselves lucky to find one. Not many people were prepared to kiss dirty, dangerous and, worst of all, poor miscreants like the ones who made up the crew. Regardless, Oran couldn’t help finding something offensively insouciant about Moj’dul’s approach. The cheers and yells of encouragement from his own shipmates didn’t make him feel any more charitable, either, and besides, the sensation of fur pressed against his lips was not one he felt any desire to prolong.
Oran’s magic was spent. His physical strength was not. The blow aimed at Moj’dul’s jaw probably hurt his fist more than the Khajiit, but Oran struggled backwards, spitting at his shoes.
‘If that’s what you’re looking for, you go to Sham, cat.’
“Ah, but Sham is not the one who owed a prize...” The blow had hurt, yes, but he was smiling, if not even a little more pleased than he really should be for just getting socked in the face by a very irate mer. His tail curled behind him as he pushed his hands into his pockets once more.
“Is this one sure he does not wish for a rematch?” he teased cheekily, but respecting the space the mer put between them...for now.

The Khajiit bared his teeth at the tiny Breton.
“Try to reach this one’s face first, then maybe he will take your threats seriously.”

Sham watched the pantomime with interest, and gave Moj'dul an inquisitive kick in the stomach when he seemed to have stopped moving. ‘That all you got? At least promise to leave me all your plunder, or something.’
A single eye cracked open.
“Moj’dul was getting to that, be patient. He is dying.” He coughed again, rubbing at his stomach.
"Just stay still! It won't take long." [Rosie. I forget whether I sent prompts already; let's assume I didn't.]
“Moj’dul will not! He knows that is a lie! He will handle it!” he hissed, indignantly plastered to the rear wall of the medical bay. He wasn’t going to let her touch any of the glass stuck in his back. Not that he really knew how he’d handle it himself, but anything was better than being subjected to the slow agony of the many shards being pulled out by a stranger.
"That was close!" [Jo'Raya]
“Indeed. This one hopes that next time, we go for the rooftops. Moj’dul is so large, ‘tis difficult to get through windows quick enough. At least his legs are large as well, to make quick feet for an escape.”
"What happened? You look awful!" [Sham]
The cathay-raht looked genuinely hurt at Sham’s comment about his appearance, immediately playing up what little pain he was in.
“This one may be dying…everything...going dark...” he staggered into the wall, then slid to the ground with a thump and a groan, not expecting the landing to hurt quite that much. He rolled onto his back a little, reaching for Sham weakly.
“If Moj’dul dies...” He coughed, a little bit of blood coming up, but not enough to be a real concern. The Khajiit swallowed, closing his eyes.
“He is so cold...”

They were fortunate that Vilayn was among the lighter of the sailors. The chair creaked at his renewed struggling and there were definitely some splintering noises when Sham shoved herself forwards to help hold Vilayn’s wrists. She tugged at them and elbowed Moj’dul to get his attention.
‘Come on, we’ll–’
The rest of her plan, assuming she had one, was doomed to be lost. Before she could finish talking there was a crash, followed by thuds, and a mass of Orc and tusks was thundering towards them. Bob collided with Sham at the shoulder, knocking her to the floor. She heaved herself onto her hands and only paused for a moment to drag her sleeve across her mouth, trailing blood and saliva behind it.
‘The fuck–’
Too late for reason. The loyalties of the crew were fickle and complicated, with allegiances owed to whoever might save someone from a flogging, and now there was a chance to throw themselves into a fight with little chance of retribution everybody was rushing to put right their grievances. No sooner had Bob knocked Sham aside than Jo’Raya’s claws were sinking into the Orc’s back, while somebody else grabbed the Khajiit’s tail and another somebody flung their bottle at the first face they saw.
Glass shattered and washed across the flagstones. Shards were kicked about by the limbs and bodies scuffling on the tavern floor. A cheer rose up from somewhere behind the yelling and ended in the meaty thump of a punch. In the centre of it Sham, fighting against the tide, managed to raise her head, grinning broadly, and yelled,
‘Moj, you gonna help or what?’
Moj was no stranger to brawls, but how quickly the fickle temperaments of Sham’s crew turned surprised even him. He grinned, eager for a little roughhousing, diving into the fray with an agility one wouldn’t expect for one his size, even for a Khajiit.
He got a punch to the face almost immediately, delighted, exhilarated laughter erupting from him as he returned the favor, trying to keep his back to Sham, both to watch her back, as well as prevent any accidental blows to his ally in his exuberance. The cathay-raht did have to hold back his strength a little, yes, after all he didn’t want to permanently injure any of Sham’s crew, just rough them up a little bit to keep that hot-blooded brawling spirit going.
And it was a good one, too. He didn’t want to spoil the fun.
Although picking up the fiddle-wielding one was too much potential fun to resist.

It was a long time coming. Moj’dul’s speech was delivered to a lot of blank faces. A few went so far as to frown, but there was a lot of muttered conferring before Drasonval tapped his fingers on the balustrade they were leaning against.
‘So… what you’re sayin’ is, you ain’t gonna do… whatever it is you did to them guards… you ain’t gonna do that to us?’ He paused, scratching a pattern in the frost. ‘Suits me.’
A rumble of assent, not to mention relief, echoed around the crew. Oran, finally out of arguments, glowered and rounded on Moj’dul. One of his fists was clenched, but all that rose from it was a thin, defeated cloud of smoke.
‘Right. Right. Guess you win, then. Thanks to these fetchers not knowing what real magic is. What did you want? Gold? A drink? Or just me not setting fire to that tail of yours?’
Moj’dul looked down at the small wisp of smoke, then up to meet the mer’s eyes with an almost cheeky smirk, feeling a little bold after successfully evading trouble with not only Ri, but Sham’s crew as well. The Khajiit slipped his hands into his pockets, tail curling behind him as he approached.
“Gold is tempting, but this one had something else in mind...” he purred. A hand slipped free to rest on the crewmember’s shoulder before he leaned in to press a firm kiss on the Dunmer’s lips.
*brandishes sword at Moj'Dul* En garde!
The Khajiit chuckled, gently taking the tip of the blade between his fingers. He twisted it around to point away from them both as he approached the stranger, bending over to be eye level with them and only stopping once his whiskers just barely brushed their cheeks.
“En garde, ahziss ari~” Moj’dul purred, gaze flicking to their throat and back up with a lidded gaze.
