vintage weapon foundry stickers and unique drink bottle cap buttons

design notes below the break

these were some fun design exercises. the stickers are based off of vintage fruit stickers. The theme was to take destiny 2's very strong design and branding and turn it into something completely different.

some were easy to brainstorm (tex mechanica) while others were :war: (cassoid).

The mida one was soooo high concept i'm not sure if anyone actually understands what the hell i was doing with it (it's supposed to be mars cut in half with the white flashes being the anomaly thats at the center. is this making any sense.).

funnily enough the hardest one for me was the infinite forge. below are the iterations i went through before finally settling for the 3rd one.

as for the buttons, i actually dont have much to say about them. i made them soooo long ago that any thought i have about it has left my head. i do remember i made the saint-14 lavender tea one specifically to fill out a spot on my saint-14 itabag ahaha

not sure if people enjoy these design notes but im hoping any aspiring artists out there find this helpful or something? i also think showing process and failed designs to be important, even though they didn't work out they still deserve to be seen.

The Tiny Me in OSHA-approved Hi-Vis Gear Who lives in my brain and pulls all the levers: Boss, it's the fascism. You're completely gunked up with cortisol due to the fact that your entire daily life is now underscored with a haunting awareness of the rapid erosion of your rights, dignity, and any and all social safety nets, and you're also bearing witness to the most vulnerable people immediately being persecuted. This creates a natural stress response that basically means you're going to continue having memory and organizational problems, as well as emotional imbalances.

mercy seems like a long shot here, so my prayer for inauguration day 2025: may they be incompetent. may they just be really bad at implementation. may their egos choke their effectiveness. may they drown themselves week by week with infighting and selfish posturing. may they be easily distracted. may the very governors and senators and agencies and religious leaders that the new administration expects to be friendly force endless stalemates to preserve their own power. may every delay turn into a three ring blame circus so chaotic that no one remembers what they were doing. may the good and necessary parts of government be too boring to draw attention and keep running quietly in the background. may the next four years be full of sound and fury and signify nothing.
