Are you sleeping in my closet for a reason?
David turned over confused, though that wasn't anything new. "Is this your closet?"
"Awesome. In the middle of Seattle and Iâm fucking lost. The cab driver drops me in the middle of nowhere and tells me that the hospital is behind those houses⊠what houses? "
"You're lost too? Cause I have no idea where I am." Or who I am. David mumbled
there ain't enough smoke in my eyes to hide the kind of games you trying to play
What Do I Stand For â David & Maisie
Maisie was just waking up and she felt like going back to sleep already. Letting herself fall back into bed she stared up at the ceiling her life had changed dramatically with just a few given months. It didnât really make that much sense and it drove her insane. One day she was another person living on the streets not knowing where her next meal was going to come from and now she was someone working for the CIA and being given all the money that she would ever need. None of it truly made sense and it was at times too much for the tiny brunette to process. Everything was just driving her into a down hill spiral thankfully it was a Monday and things were not so bad. This was her day off and she was going to try her best to make the best she possibly could. She was going to go into the city and explore it. Hell maybe she could make a friend or perhaps two if she was lucky.
A couple of hours later the female found herself in the middle of the city. Bumping shoulders with everyone that seemed to be in another world and far too busy to actually acknowledge her and say that she was sorry. The next person that did it was going to get a mouthful from her, Â It was not going to be pretty she thought. As soon as she said it she felt a shoulder blade and looked up, this guy had been mumbling from far away and now he had managed to push her back. âListen here.â She said loud and stood in front of the man shaking her head, âNow I know that you are busy and you have a life to get back to. I am sure your girl really needs you and that your friends want you â and maybe you have some cranky ass boss who is an asshole but I deserve some respect here just because I am tiny doesnât mean I do not exist ok? So just â I donât know â donât run into people? You look lost by the way do you need some help or something?â
This whole wandering around aimlessly like a lost puppy was getting tiring. It was becoming old hat real fast and he needed to find someone to help him. He had no idea what to do. Where to go. He somehow was able to find himself in the city eventually surrounded by people. And he didn't know if that comforted him or not. If it made things worse. Being surrounded by tens and hundreds of people and all of them just causing him more and more vertigo. He weaved his way through the crowd trying to find his way to a police station or something. Maybe he'd hit his head. He did wake up in a ditch. As he brushed by more and more people, one of them stopped him. David furrowed his eyebrows at the woman who was yelling at him with a look of confusion. Busy? A life to get back to? Did she know him? Girl? Friends? Who was this girl? Why did she know so much about him. David stared at her before grabbing her arm and pulling her off to the side. "Do you know me?" He asked almost hysterically. It was starting to get to him. Not knowing. Not knowing anyone. Not knowing himself. And here was a random woman that he'd bumped into who made it seem like she knew him. "How do you know all of that?" He asked feeling frantic before he realized he was still holding her arm. "Oh, god." He muttered to himself. "I'm sorry." He said dropping her arm and taking a step back. He gripped on to his coat. "Yeah..." He finally answered to her previous question. "I'm lost." He said hesitantly unsure of what he was really doing. His mind was racing. He needed to figure something out. A plan. Find shelter. Somewhere to live. He needed a place to regroup. "Can you point me in the direction of the police station? Or the hospital?" He combed his fingers through his short hair, gripping on to it trying to figure out what to do.Â
What Do I Stand For â David & Lyvia
Heavy clouds traced across the horizon, sending the promised snow that would turn Seattle into a white city for a couple of days, weeks maybe, before the rain would wash it away again. The sun shone with all itâs might onto the earth, but no where near strong enough to warm up the freezing wind that blew through her blonde curls, causing the thin female to shudder in the cold air. Deep blue eyes stared emotionless onto the ocean, watching the heavy wind towering up the water before it crashed brutally and with itâs whole force against the shore. Nobody could stand against the force of water, the waves would pull her in, make her disappear, until nobody would find her again. It was a scary thought, yet it gave the blonde comfort for some odd reason. Life had thrown nothing but hate at her. Everyone that was supposed to be good, was ripped away from her hands, like sand it disappeared between her slim fingers, impossible to hold onto it. She had lost her career, her health, the love of her life and suffered under a near death experience. One would think after escaping death they would find more joy in living. But for Lyvia it turned out to be the opposite, suddenly death seemed more tempting than living, what was there to live for anyway? Nothing seemed worth of it anymore. Everyday was another day filled with misery, filled with the fight of pretending that everything was okay, when it wasnât. Faking a smile, looking into peopleâs eyes and convincing them that she was okay, that she was doing great. Eyelids fluttered close, leaning into the cold wind that gave her the feeling of flying, flying away, out of her own body, escaping this world, this life, this misery. It was just her, the calming noise of the ocean and the wind.
She wasnât sure how long she sat there, on the brick wall, outside the city. It was a unexpected noise of footsteps that caused Lyvia to open her crystal clear, blue eyes again. Her sight fell immediately on a male, not too far away, walking somewhat lost along the street. She watched him quietly for a few minutes. Taking in every oh so small movement of his, the way he was dressed, the way he behaved, it all seemed a little odd. Bringing the almost empty bottle of Whiskey to her lips she took another sip from it before she jumped in a somewhat clumsy manner off the wall. ângh s-stop spinningâŠâ She mumbled more or less to herself, placing her cold palm onto her heated forehead in attempt to stop her surrounding to move in an unnatural way around her. It took a moment for her vision to become clear enough again to fixate the male. âHeyâŠâ She said in a normal tone, walking slowly towards him.Â
It was a long walk. A much longer walk than David had anticipated. He didn't know why he thought he'd get into the city much sooner, but the wind seemed to be working against him. He was just figuring out in what direction he needed to go and it seemed like he wasn't going to ever find any kind of civilization. David dug in his pockets and pulled out the items in his pocket once again. He thought if he stared at it long enough then maybe it would jog something. He hoped that it would help give him an idea of where he needed to go. Nothing looked familiar to him, though he wasn't sure exactly what he was expecting since not even the items in his pockets. It wasn't until someone started to stumble towards him. He stared at her wondering if he was supposed to know who this blonde woman was. But still, after staring a moment longer he started towards the woman thinking she needed help. He reached out to steady the woman in front of him. "Hi?" He said talking to her not sure if he was supposed to know her. Or if she knew him. There was something awful about not having your memories. Everything seemed dark, and everyone was a stranger. David gave the woman a very confused look. She was staggering towards him with a bottle in her hand and a strong aroma coming off her. Vague but familiar before it all clicked. She was drunk. He felt a little dejected, not because she was a random drunk woman approaching him, but because he was no step closer in figuring out what was going on. David pulled out his ID again and wondered if he was going to even known anyone at all. His ID said that he was from Ohio, did he know people in Seattle? Did he know this woman? "Hi..." He repeated more cautiously the second time around. "Can you help me? I... " He hesitated. He didn't even know what he needed. Answers. But he doubt she could provide that much for him. Directions. He could ask her for directions to lead him in to the city. Or find a way to get to a police station or a hospital. "Are you alright?" Was came out instead of asking for help for himself.Â

What Do I Stand For â David & Open
That moment when you wake up, and you can't open your eyes. The sunlight just beat down so brightly that even if you wanted to open your eyes, they would stay shut against your will. David rolled over on to his stomach and forced his eyelids open. Startled by where he was, not in a bed, but on dirt he scrambled up to his feet. The man stood up and looked around his surroundings. Quickly, out of instict or habit, he wasn't sure â though he couldn't be sure of a lot of things â reached into his pockets and pulled out a wallet. His? He opened it and saw a photo ID. David Cornelius Banks. Was that him? He looked at the photo and then continued to search. Bank card. Same name. Money. 100, 200, 300... 1000 dollars. Nothing really helping him to figure out why he couldn't recall where he was or how he got there. He dug around and found a piece of paper crumpled in his other pocket. He fished around for it and pulled out a letter with a scrawl 'David' and a post card that read Welcome to Seattle.
Quickly, David spun around and behind him there was a sign that read Now Entering Seattle. He put a hand to his forehead. What happened? Why couldn't he remember anything? David shoved everything back into his pockets and tried to find anymore clues to hint at who he was or what he was doing. Nothing. "I guess the only thing to do is... head into the city." He mumbled to himself as he started to walk along the road wondering what the hell was going on. The walk was long as he trecked on. He had no semblance of time, no watch, nothing to help him indicate the time of day other than the sun's position in the sky. Though he wasn't sure why he knew that so easily. He continued down the side of the road occasionally turning his head to see if there was anyone who could stop and drive him into the city. To help him find a phone.Â
