Losing a Parent

My Father who is 70 years old has had MS (Multiple Sclerosis) for the last 10 years. He had lost his ability to walk without crutches or a wheelchair. I've witness the agony and pain of his slow loss of holding onto his pride being forced by life to let it go and accept the assistance of others. It's a battle. An emotional one. Painful to watch as well as physically painful for a person to endure the symptoms of MS. I will never hate my Father for years we've been apart. I will never kick a person when they're down. Near death I'm accepting the loss of my Father's physical existence. But my connection with him I feel in my heart is he's holding on to see me one last time. He doesn't want to let me down. My poor Daddy... you cannot use the little strength you have left to make sure you see my face one last time. But luckily, I am coming this week. To say my goodbyes. I'm going to play him the song I wrote for him on my acoustic guitar. He can barely speak after two heart attacks and needing constant oxygen to breath. But his ears are all I need him to use. Father you will hear me speak to you through song and put peace into your heart and ears so your soul may rest. I know you wanted so much more in life to accomplish. I feel that in you. It's OK to accept that maybe God needs you by him. Maybe to teach me something for my life to become in a way of something different because of your passing. It's Gods plan not ours. But Jesus Christ do I love you to the moon and back 10 times. Sleep in peace. I pray God gives you peace to put you at ease until I am in your presence finally. I will not ever leave your side my Father. You can't feel your fingers to text or anything at this point and that's OK. Feel peace. Have faith. My Lord, I ask you to keep him holding on till my face sees his this week. Please don't take him from me yet. I love you Dad and my Father above. Be strong and have faith.
