one of the major problems with the "everyone is valid! pick whatever label feels best!" mentality is that it literally prioritises feelings of misinformed people over facts, history and material reality
not to mention it doesn't take into account that shame, fear and internalised LGBT-phobias are also feelings that influence our choice of labels
if you have to beg for someone to respect your boundaries then they aren’t worth your time.
Men really need to stop trying to insert themselves into the lesbian label. Not everyone will fit into every label! And that's ok!!! Mspecs have so many OPTIONS, there's pan, bi, omi, bi+.......

Not to mention there’s also sapphic, queer, achillean, neptunic, trixic… They have many options.
Men really love to insert themselves in everything, they hate knowing not everything is about them.
It hurts their egos knowing there’s people out there not attracted to them at all. And if they act shitty towards people who’re attracted to men but not attracted to them specifically, with lesbians their behavior tend to be worse.
Fellow lesbians and other sapphics I probably made a similar post about this before but my advice is to please pay attention to the content you’re interacting with, more specifically when it’s a graphic scene/image of wlw.
Tumblr just recommended to me a post of someone here who’s supposedly a lesbian but I went to check their blog and basically all the content they interact with and posts about it seems to be clearly wlw scenes made for men.

Unfortunately being a lesbian or sapphic is being very aware of content you’re going to see and interact with because unfortunately a lot (if not most) of sapphic content is made by men for men.

It shouldn’t be too hard to understand. Lesbians are not attracted to men. In that case, if you’re still attracted to them then you’re attracted to men (unless you don’t see the person you’re dating as a man, which is pretty transphobic), and if you’re attracted to men that means you’re not a lesbian.
It’s very shitty with your partner if you still want to identify as a lesbian while dating someone who is a man. It seems like you’re not recognizing their gender.
A lesbian or gay stopping being attracted to their partner because they’ve transitioned to a gender they’re not attracted to isn’t shitty, it’s our sexuality, we don’t choose that.
