i worked last thanksgiving & all day customers apologized for me having to work & i would say its nbd. one lady was very adamant about apologizing & how its not fair that i have to be at work during a holiday & i told her "no really its ok i dont celebrate thanksgiving anyway" & boy oh boy did i fuck up. she asked why i dont celebrate & i told her im not american & she gave me a 5 minute lecture about how this country offers so many great things to immigrants & how we just take it for granted
