A/N: I just got my wisdom teeth out and I'm bored at my laptop. Realized I haven't posted in a few days so I randomly turned on Teenage Dream by Katy Perry and wrote this because I love Denki so so much.

Fanfiction Masterlist

The city is too loud tonight.

Sirens wail somewhere in the distance, bouncing between glass buildings, mixing with the crackle of electricity humming just beneath your skin. 

The air smells like smoke and dust—fresh destruction—and it clings to the back of your throat every time you breathe.

You’re standing back-to-back with Kaminari.

No—Denki.

Your partner.

Your idiot.

Your—

“Still with me?” he asks, voice tight but trying—trying—to sound like his usual self.

“Always.” you say as you grab his hand, giving it a quick squeeze. 

You don’t need to look at him to know he smiles at that—small, fleeting, but real.

Then—A sharp crack splits the air.

Debris lifts.

Not falls—lifts.

The villain stands across the street, one hand lazily raised, fingers twitching as chunks of concrete, metal, and shattered glass hover around him like a storm waiting to be unleashed. 

His grin is sharp. 

Mocking.

He has a telekinesis quirk.

Great.

“Pro Heroes,” he calls out to you and Denki, voice dripping with amusement. “You two look close.”

Denki shifts beside you. 

You feel it—the subtle change in him. 

His stance lowers. 

Electricity flickers faintly along his arms.

“Don’t engage emotionally,” you murmur under your breath. “We’ve got this.”

“Yeah,” he says.

But his voice… It's already strained.

The villain tilts his head. 

“Let me guess,” he begins, his gaze moving between the two of you before landing on Denki. “You’re the reckless one.” 

His gaze then moves to you, his smirk broadening. “And she’s the one who keeps you from getting yourselves killed.”

Before either you or Denk can respond, a chunk of pavement shoots toward you.

You dodge it—barely—rolling forward as it smashes into the ground behind you. 

You come up fast, already moving, already calculating angles—and then the air shifts.

Something slams into your side a moment later.

You don’t even see it.

One second you’re moving, the next—Pain.

Blinding, sharp, crushing pain explodes through your ribs as you're hurled backward. 

Your body hits the asphalt hard enough to knock the air out of your lungs.

You hear Denki shout your name.

Your vision blurs.

You try to push yourself up—your arms tremble, barely responding. 

Something warm spreads beneath you.

Blood.

“Hey—hey—look at me!” Denki’s voice is closer now.

You blink, struggling to focus.

He drops to his knees beside you, hands hovering like he’s afraid to touch you, afraid he’ll hurt you more.

“I’m okay,” you try to say.

It comes out weak. 

Barely a whisper.

His eyes widen. “No, no—you’re not—don’t—don’t do that thing where you say you’re fine, okay? Not now. Not now.”

The villain laughs.

“Wow,” he calls. “That was easy. You really are the weak point.”

Something changes.

You feel it before you see it.

The air around Denki crackles.

“Denki—” you start, but your voice falters.

He doesn’t look at you.

He’s staring at the villain now, and there’s nothing playful in his expression anymore.

“Say that again,” Denki says quietly.

The villain smirks. “I said she’s your weak—”

Before the villain can even finish the sentence lightning erupts into the air.

Denki moves before you can even process it—before you can stop him. 

Electricity explodes outward in a blinding flash, tearing through the air with a deafening crack. “DON’T TOUCH HER!”

His voice breaks on the last word.

The discharge is massive—far beyond what he usually risks. 

It surges toward the villain, wild and furious, ripping through the telekinetic field and sending debris crashing to the ground.

The villain screams as the current hits him, his control snapping instantly, causing everything to drop.

The street falls silent except for the fading crackle of electricity.

And Denki—Denki staggers.

“Denki—” you try again.

He sways for a second—but he doesn’t fall.

Not yet.

Not while you’re still on the ground.

He turns to you—eyes wide, breathing uneven—and after a second, he rushes back to you, dropping beside you again so fast it’s almost a collapse.

“Hey—hey—hey,” he says, voice shaking. 

His hands finally touch you—gentle, careful, like you’re made of glass. “Stay with me, okay? Stay with me.”

Your vision swims as you look up at him. “Denki… you overdid it…”

“Don’t care,” he says immediately. “Don’t—don’t even say that right now.”

His hands are trembling.

You’ve never seen his hands shake like that.

“Hey! Hey!” His voice cracks as your eyes start to slip closed. “Stay awake, okay? Stay awake.”

You try too.

You really do.

But everything feels heavy.

Distant.

The last thing you feel is his hand gripping yours tightly.

When you wake up—Everything is quiet.

Too quiet.

The steady beep of a heart monitor replaces the chaos from before. 

The air smells sterile. 

Clean.

Like a hospital.

Your body aches—dull, persistent pain—but it’s… manageable.

You blink slowly, turning your head.

And there he is.

Denki is slumped in the chair beside your bed, his head resting on the mattress near your arm, fingers still loosely wrapped around your hand like he never let go.

He looks… Awful.

His hair is messier than usual, his hero costume long gone—replaced with a wrinkled hoodie someone must’ve brought him to change into. 

There are dark circles under his eyes, and his expression, even in sleep, is tense.

Like he’s still fighting.

You shift slightly.

That’s all it takes.

His eyes snap open instantly, immediately landing on you.

“Hey—!”

He jolts upright so fast the chair nearly tips over. 

His grip on your hand tightens immediately.

“You’re awake.”

His voice is breathless.

Disbelieving.

You give a weak smile. “Hey… Sparky.”

His eyes water.

Actually—fully, visibly—tear up.

“You—” He laughs, but it’s shaky, uneven. “You’re making jokes. That’s… that’s good. That’s really good.”

“Was I out long?” you ask.

“…Two days.”

You blink. “Oh.”

“Yeah. ‘Oh,’” he echoes, running a hand through his hair. “You scared the hell out of me.”

You swallow. “The villain—?”

“Captured,” he says quickly. “Immediately. Don’t worry about that.”

His thumb brushes over your knuckles, absent, grounding.

“I thought…” He stops for a second, his voice faltering. “...I thought I lost you…”

The room feels smaller suddenly.

You squeeze his hand—weak, but intentional. “I’m still here.”

He looks at you like he’s memorizing your face.

“Yeah,” he whispers. “Yeah, you are.”

There’s a pause.

Then you glance at the chair he was sitting on just moments ago. “Have you… been here the whole time?”

“…Maybe.” he answers hesitantly.

“Denk—”

“I wasn’t going to just leave you!” he blurts immediately, sitting up straighter. “Not a chance. They tried to get me to go home—Kirishima, Aizawa, everyone—nope. Wasn’t going to happen, no matter what anyone said.”

You huff a quiet laugh. “You’re impossible.”

“And you got yourself nearly killed,” he shoots back, but there’s no heat in it—just fear that hasn’t fully faded.

Silence settles between the two of you again.

Softer this time.

His hand is still holding yours.

“Denki,” you say quietly.

“Yeah?” he asks, his eyes meeting yours again.

“You saved me.”

He freezes. “…You got hurt because of me.”

“...No Denki… That’s not—”

“He said you were my weakness,” Denki continues cutting you off, voice tight. “And I—I just lost it. I didn’t think. I just—”

“You protected me,” you interrupt gently.

He looks at you again.

Really looks.

“And I’d do it again,” he admits. “Every time.”

That makes your heart stutter.

“Even if you short-circuit your brain?” you tease softly.

He huffs. “Hey. Rude.”

You smile.

He exhales slowly, tension easing just a little.

Then—hesitantly—he lifts your hand, pressing his forehead against it for a second. “…Don’t scare me like that again,” he murmurs.

Your chest tightens. “I’ll try,” you whisper with a nod.

There’s a pause.

A long one.

And then—

You shift slightly, wincing, but determined. “Come here.”

“What—? You should be resting—”

“Denki.”

He hesitates.

Then leans closer.

Careful.

Gentle.

Like you might break.

Your free hand lifts—slow, shaky—and cups his cheek.

He goes completely still.

“Hey,” you murmur.

“Hey…” he breathes.

And then—You close the distance.

The kiss is soft.

Tentative.

But full of everything neither of you said out loud.

His hand tightens around yours, and for a second he doesn’t move—like he’s afraid it’s not real.

Then he melts into it.

Careful.

Protective.

Like he’s holding something precious.

When you pull back, his forehead rests against yours. “…Worth it,” he whispers.

You smile faintly. “What is?”

“Everything.”

He squeezes your hand again.

And this time—He doesn’t look scared.

Just relieved.

Genre: idek, fluff maybe? /Katsuki doesn't even realize he's smitten so I guess that could count as fluff./ Writing Type: Oneshot!  Character(s): Katsuki Bakugo Gender of Reader: she/her (feminine) WARNINGS: mild swearing, curious Bakugo, reader is a bundle of joy and loved by all her classmates? Requested?  nuh uhhhh Description: Bakugo is extremely curious as to why everyone in class A seems to love [Y/N] so much. What is it that draws everyone to her?

A/N: I wrote this randomly at midnight while eating Ritz crackers. I accidentally sneezed really loud and probably woke up half the household. I've also been really into The Promised Neverland recently so I listened to Isabella's Lullaby while reading this. I might have described reader too much...Whoopsie. There was something different about her. 

Her, with those bright eyes, that smile that never seemed to leave her face.

He couldn't shake the feeling. It constantly fogged the back of his mind.

There was something different about [Y/N]. 

It wasn't like this "difference" was a bad thing - honestly he had come to think of it as something rather nice, against his better judgement - but it put him off. Almost on guard.

How could she be so happy and ready to talk to everyone all the time?

She'd talk to pretty much everyone in class before homeroom even started. She'd even talk to Mineta, though those conversations were always very short. 

She'd talk to Kirishima, Tokoyami, Deku, Yaoyorozu. She'd eventually trot back to her desk, right beside his, after her conversation-sweep of the classroom was done. 

And everyone seemed to love her. 

He, of course, knew Denki and Mineta were openly smitten over her - duh, they're both just like that - but it wasn't just them who openly complimented her and showered her with attention like she was some sort of goddess.

She wasn't the only person who was this social though - there was Mina, for one thing - so why did everyone seem to gravitate to her? 

It made him fidgety just trying to think it out. 

"Morning!" 

Bakugo whipped his head around. Had he been staring off into space that whole time? Dammit.

"Bakugo?" 

He shook his head around to clear the fog and looked up at who was speaking. 

Of course, it was her. 

He wasn't sure where it came from, but he couldn't help but think that she looked ethereal this morning. Her uniform was freshly ironed and her cheeks were dotted with the smallest flecks of glitter. Her bright eyes seemed to shine as she looked at him. He couldn't help but think, just for a flicker of a moment, that maybe he liked looking at her. 

She was staring at him. 

She looked confused.

Wait. Had she said something?

"Are you alright, Bakugo?" [Y/N] asked worriedly, waving a hand in front of his face. "You look a bit red. Are you feeling okay?" 

He shook his head to again clear it of the fog and swatted her hand away. "M'fine." He grunted, subtly rubbing at his cheek with his hand. She was right - he could feel the heat radiating off his face.

When the hell did that happen? And why?

"Aww, are you all red Bakugo?" Denki called from across the room. "Couldn't be catching feelings, could 'ya~?" 

Bakugo turned sharply to glare at the boy, who immediately put his hands up in defense. 

"Shut up or I'll kill you," Bakugo growled before turning back around. 

[Y/N], who looked very confused, turned back to Bakugo with curiosity etched across her features.

"What was that all about?" she asked curiously. 

"NOTHING!" he cried, immediately realizing he said it much louder and sharper than he meant to. 

[Y/N] raised an eyebrow, shifting back to face forwards again. "Fine," she said cooly. "I was just curious." 

"I- ugh." Bakugo pinched the bridge of his nose. "It's nothing. Pikachu's just spouting dumbass nonsense." he muttered to her. 

[Y/N] chuckled. "Sounds about right. Say, Denki, I've been meaning to ask you- what's the highest voltage your quirk can emit?"

And she'd done it again - making it look like striking up a conversation with someone was a slice of cake. 

How did she do it? Bakugo wondered to himself as he watched Denki frolic over to her desk, entirely happy to have a reason to talk to her. [Y/N] listened, really listened to him, and gave feedback, continuing the conversation past the voltage question as more people gathered around as well.

He watched her quietly for a few minutes, seeing how she really seemed to want to talk to Pikachu - not just get information off of him. 

That's when it hit him - [Y/N] was GENUINE. 

She was so well liked by everybody because they felt seen by her, felt understood. She was real in what she said and did - she wasn't just talk and no action. 

His eyes widened slightly as he thought of this, playing it over in his mind. He couldn't help but chuckle to himself, impressed at both her ability to do what she did so well and his ability to figure it out. 

Denki dipped back to his seat just before Aizawa opened the door. Bakugo turned to face his teacher, but not really paying attention. 

[Y/N] was genuine and that's why people always gravitated towards her. Her easiness in conversation was just her extroverted personality talking, and the way she listened to everyone - and she didn't just listen, she followed up as well - made people feel understood and seen by her. 

Bakugo turned to look at her. Another small surge of heat flooded his face as he realized that she really did look rather nice today. Her eyes were trained on Aizawa as she leaned down and picked her notebook up, flipping it open to begin writing notes down. A lock of her hair drooped out of place. 

He chuckled.

She looked up and immediately caught him staring. 

He quickly looked away, tsk-ing as he determinedly looked in the very opposite direction. 

Soon enough, he chanced another glance back at her, and saw that she had fixed her hair. 

He sighed and glanced at the clock. 

He had only been in the room for eight minutes. 

Somehow, it'd felt like an eternity. 

He sighed, glancing back at [Y/N] as an odd sort of fluttering softness filled his chest. 

It was all her fault, for making it seem like so much time had passed. 

Or was it his fault that he got stuck in his own damn head like a maniac? 

He paused. 

Nah, he thought, frightening himself slightly at how soft it sounded in his head. 

It was definitely all her fault.

· even after he gets used to a relationship, he'd still ask for consent on things.

· now THIS guy is a bit different from the rest. 

· honestly it would take so long for him to realize he liked you 

· he'd finally realize when he brushed your arm one day when passing in the hallway

· he could have SWORN he felt some sort of electricity go up his arm 

· he decided he, against his better judgement, quite enjoyed that feeling 

· and he discovered he couldn't feel that way with anyone or anything else, so there must be something different with you. 

· but what was it?

· finally he came to his senses 

· him asking you out would be so incredibly adorable...and awkward

· he just walked up

· "you make me feel things." 

· "?????"

· you were confused for a second and he got a bit ticked off that you weren't understanding 

· but he kept his cool and hissed

· "you make my heart beat weirdly, dumbass." 

· he sighed

· "go out with me."

· he didn't really state it like a request 

· but you accepted anyway

· when your relationship is still new, he'll be a bit wary 

· he's never exactly felt this way with anybody and he's not very good at showing emotions other than anger, so he feels a bit... sticky

· but you help him!!

· as time goes on he gets more confident doing things 

· he'll have his soft moments, though they are rare

· most affection from him happens behind closed doors

· honestly, he wouldn't be too much of a cuddler 

· he's fine doing it as long as you don't have a blanket over the two of you because he's always super warm 

· and if he gets hot, he starts sweating 

· and of course he doesn't want to explode you 

· he wouldn't ever say it, but he's actually terrified of you getting hurt 

· if you ever get hurt majorly, say, by pushing too hard in training, he'll help patch you up and says grumpily

· "dumbass, don't push yourself like that, i don't want to have to do all this to patch you up again" 

· literally anyone else in the world would hear that and think he's being rough, but there's no real venom in his words

· and you know the Language Bakugo. what he said basically means: 

· "I don't like seeing you injured, so please don't hurt yourself again." 

· while you are both alone together, he'll get a bit more affectionate than he would be in public

· in public, he'll drape his arm around your shoulders and every so often, on the rare occasion, he'll kiss your forehead, but that's pretty much it

· in private, however, he's a bit more affectionate

· he likes you being in his lap and he'll fidget with your fingers

· he also likes to take naps in your lap. this is a rare occurance, however, so savor each time it happens 

· he'll hold your hand as well. not as big a fan of doing this in public cuz he thinks it makes him look "soft"

· "I'm not stupid, I don't want to look like a softie to those extras" 

· on the rare occasion he's feeling extra soft, he'll hug you from behind and bury his face in the crook of your neck

· He likes to hear you sigh contentedly 

· and when he kisses you- damn 

· be ready 

· he's not really that experienced, but he's very good at it 

· this man doesn't really do soft kisses, they're few and far between

· his real kisses are normally very passionate

· most times he'll just give you a short, slow kiss cuz he's a busy bee 

· but when he's got time on his hands- 

· things can get a bit heated rather fast 

· he normally pulls you as close as possible by your waist 

· he likes to run his fingers over the skin just under the hem of your shirt

· also loooooves leaving marks. small marks of course, places where you can hide them easily, like your shoulder 

· doesn't want everyone seeing them on YOU, then they'd know he'd been doing that when he should have been working!

· however, if you leave a hickey on him somewhere it's visible- 

· he's gonna show that thing off as subtly as possible

· he actually thinks it's super hot if you leave marks on him

A/N: First post time. Reader and characters are pro heroes and are already in a relationship :)

· be careful with her!!

· don't get her too worried, she might accidentally melt something she didn't mean to out of stress :(

· you guys were on the job together, trying to catch a villain who had been behind a series of tech store robberies in the area

· Mina: "WHOO!! How exilerating!!" *As she's sliding using her acid.*

· She thinks you look so damn hot chasing the vilain with her.

· the villain's quirk was not helpful to them in a chase scenario, so when they turned a corner and you both followed-

· they used this chance to reveal that they were armed. 

· You saw them point the gun at Mina as she slid around the corner, not expecting it

· not even thinking twice, you jumped in front of her as the shot fired

· time seemed to slow down as the bullet hit you

· you crumpled to the ground, Mina screaming your name

· the villain took this chance to book it. 

· Mina sank to her knees beside you, tears running down her face as she stretched out wobbly hands, trying to think clearly about how to help you 

· "Ugh- UGH! [Y/N] y-you- you can't do that!!"

· she's full on sobbing 

· you're laying there, blood pooling around the wound (which had got you in the ribs)

· "[Y/N]- pressure- yes- pressure on the *hic* wound..." 

· she's trying to press her overcoat onto the wound as you reach up with a fragile hand and brush her tears away

· "M-Mina-"

· "No! N-no, don't talk! Please, y-you- save y-your strength- you have to be okay-"

· She's crying really hard. Radios for an ambulance

· You're taken to the hospital immediately when the medics arrive

· Mina rides in the ambulance with you, grasping onto your hand while medics try to stop the bleeding around your wound

· Eventually, after you make it to the hospital, Mina is told to wait in the lobby

· Everyone there is wondering what a Pro hero is doing there, but who are they to question

· After a while, the doctors call Mina back and tell her she can visit you

· She peeks through the window in the door. When she sees that you're awake, she full on sprints into the room

· "[Y/N] !! Oh my god, you're alright! You're alright!" 

· she's crying again as she presses her face into your neck, her tears soaking your shirt 

· You're in slight pain because of your injury but this is your girlfriend so what the hell. 

·.you murmur sweet affirmations in her ear as she cries 

· that you're okay. you're safe, you're alive

· finally she pulls away, grasping one of your hands while running her other hand over your cheek 

· "Try and sacrifice yourself for me again, and you'll face my wrath, dummy" she says in a high-pitched voice before kissing your forehead

· she'll be so upset that you took a hit for her

· but at the end of the day, you're okay - and she's so grateful for that

· if you took a hit for her

· she'd be frantic

· it'd happen while you guys are out one night

· clubs and parties aren't really Ochaco's thing, but she'll go to them if invited

· you asked if she'd like to go roller skating at the new club downtown

· she agreed! that'd be so fun!

· You both had been skating for a while when suddenly something caught your eye

· lurking in the corner outside the rink

· a man, with a silver suit and silenced pistol

· which was aimed right at Ochaco

· impulsively, you lurched in front of her 

· you don't remember much after that

· the bullet hit you right in the chest and you fell to the ground, where you immediately blacked out 

· Ochaco would literally have to pause and just LOOK

· she doesn't know what else to do, she's frozen in shock 

· her hands are shaking, her ears are ringing, her heart feels likes it's going to explode

 · you! on the ground! blood!

· HOW HAS NO ONE ELSE REALIZED WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!!

· she quickly bends down to turn you over, tears starting to pool in her eyes as she screams for help

· people immediately hush as they skate forward, yelling for someone to call an ambulance, quickly

· people bend down and help carry you to the restaurant-style part of the skate club

· they lay you on a table, where Ochaco tears the sleeves off her sweatshirt and ties them together, creating a long strip that she wraps around the wound to apply pressure 

· she ties it tightly 

· her face is determined, but she's shaking, her face is soaked in tears, and her hands are twitching 

· the people who helped carry you off the rink return with compresses amd a bowl of warm water

· she insists on being the only one to apply the warmth to your face which, to her despair, is growing pale and cold

· "They're losing blood!! I'm their girlfriend, let me do it!!" 

· the paramedics finally arrive and take you in the ambulance 

· Ochaco loudly and determinedly insists on coming, even though her legs are wobbling so badly that she can't walk well

· She continues to apply warm water to your cold face as the hospital draws nearer

· the doctors take you away into the back of the hospital and Ochaco waits in the lobby. 

· gets recognized by some kids, who are about to run up to her but their mothers say no

· finally, after what feels like forever, one of the doctors calls her back, informing her that you'll be fine and make a full recovery 

· the bullet had barely missed major arteries 

· she nearly sinks to the ground in relief 

· she runs down the hallway until she reaches your room 

· she carefully opens the door

· you're awake!!

· oh, JOY!! 

· you smile softly and greeet her quietly 

· she seems frozen for a second

· then she squeals 

· "[Y/NNNNNNNNNN]!!" and scrambles forward 

· she hugs you around the neck quite tightly, quietly crying 

· you assure her that you're alright

· "hey, look at me! i'm not dead, see?"

· she sniffles and smiles shakily as she looks at you 

· "[Y/N], don't- don't do that!! You scared me so bad," she whimpers, rubbing her eyes

 · you assure her that you're more than happy to take a bullet for her 

· she is your girlfriend, after all

· she pouts

· "Don't make a habit of it!! You gave me too much of a scare today!!"
