It’s becoming more and more apparent that most Americans aren’t going to accept that the government is becoming scarily fascist until it’s Castle Wolfenstein levels of cartoon evil, and even then you’ll have people questioning whether anything has gone wrong.

There is a complete lack of critical thinking as to how the disastrous direction this hell-country is going down relates to fascism of the past. A frustraiting amount of people act like 20th century fascism went straight to forcing people into death camps and there wasn’t a systematic build up to that.

We have the entire history of fallen fascist regimes to look over, but none of that fucking matters. Fascism can only be recognized after it commits its worst abuses, and foresight and hindsight don’t exist at all. You can’t look a vicious rabid dog in the face and see it’s about to pounce on you until after it pounces on you, I guess. That’s where we’re at right now.
