So I finally decided to change the password to this account after like 3-4 years (god it’s been a long time). I went MIA on the internet for about a year or two after a falling out with my mother. I came out to her and it went bad? I had to delete most of my social media accounts then but I’ve been back on the internet for about two years now. I had to make new accounts for most things. but they treated me differently

when i came out as trans my dad asked if he should start slapping me on the back and socking me in the arm instead of hugging me.

when i came out as trans my mom wanted to know if i would still got with her on fun trips to the mall to buy clothes and home decor items.

when i came out as trans my grandfather looked positively startled and overjoyed when i kissed his cheek and told him to drive safe.

when i came out as trans my grandmother asked if it was okay if she hugged me in public or if it would embarrass me.

when i came out as trans my dad told me that he had a lot to teach me— he said this because i told him i thought make up was fun.

So I've been inactive. Mostly because I hate life. But anyways here's a list of new things that I felt like I wanted to talk about/just say somewhere because eh.

I watched all of Voltron and now I'm trash.

I figured out that I'm 110% a guy (psa- he/him pronouns and I go by Eli and I'm still deciding if I want to change it to Elliot or Elijah)

I'm out to my mom but it's a difficult situation

I went to church camp with my best friend and one of my cabinmates said "I'm not homophobic but I just don't want gay people around me." during cabin time and I thought that was pretty fucking hilarious because these people didn't know that me and my friend are really fucking queer.

Okay so, I have this possibly helpful tip/product for trans guys. I know it might seem like a small thing but often with trans dudes the smallest things can make a huge difference.

So, basically I found these underwear (made by Hanes) that are technically women’s underwear but they just look like boxers. (heres a picture)

Now, the reason I’m highly recommending these is because they’re made to fit a female body. The inside even has a place you can put a pad so you don’t have to wear those girly panties for a week each month (if that applies to you, it’s a definite plus). Not to mention they’re affordable (i found a two-pack on sale for 5$) and, since they’re technically women’s underwear, it might be easier to slide by the lesser-supportive parents and the like.

Again, this seems like a really small and dumb thing, but dysphoria’s a bitch and I know y'all just want somethin’ comfy between you and those jeans.

Pro-tip to young trans guys:

If a stranger misgenders you, please please please do not ever utter the phrase, “I’m a man.” It sounds very unnatural and immediately sounds overly defensive.

My advice? Just look at the person like they’re an idiot and, in the deepest voice possible, say, “Uh. Alright, then.”

Just act as though they made a huge and obvious mistake, and don’t get flustered. If you’re comfortable with it, handle the situation with humor and say something like, “Man, I know I’ve got a babyface, but I didn’t think it was that bad.”
