You know, I'd never really analyzed Penelope's appearance that much, and even though she looks beautiful, it's a little strange that she looks like an adult woman when Claude looks like a teenager.

There are some panels where she looks younger at least, but in others she looks much older than she should be. I know we don't know the characters' exact ages, but you can't tell me Claude is over 20 in that panel.

I think that was explained in the last chapter of the main story when Spoon explained that the imperial family age slower than ordinary people due to their strong mana. For example, Claude, despite being 40, doesn't even look 30 and Athanasia who is 18 years old look like she's actually 15-16.

lmaoo sorry, I just saw this and I know it's late but I wanted to clarify anyway that it's Penelope's appearance that doesn't make sense, not Claude's. Penelope couldn't have been older than 20 when she died, and in all the panels I posted here she looks like she's 30 😭 or at least not as young as she was supposed to be.

I can't take seriously the whole discussion about whether the novel or the manhwa is better because I think both are very poorly written, and even if you mix them, there are still many holes in the narrative.
