No matter what you pictured, it was nothing compared to what you were witnessing. The world before you swam in your vision: the imposing, dark monster of a grand piano swallowing its prey whole. And the victim didn’t fight back - not even for a moment. They let it consume them under the blinding spotlight, a feasting on full display. They knew this was the close, proverbial wings folding around their slumped form in surrender.

so~ i thought i should embark on a little reading project and decided i should read a couple fics written by the amazing admins (and later on members) at bangtan sorciere and thought it was more than fitting to start with you, ryen ,our sweet house of koopid admin uwu <3333

literally i told myself i would just read a bit of this right when i woke up and finish the rest later but ended up staying in bed for a good hour and honestly i wouldn't have it any other way

even before i started reading this i had a feeling i would really like it, just as much as i like first love (honestly might be my fave yoongi solo, even if shadow is up there too hehe)

first off, i felt kinda of personally attacked because i used to be like the reader in high school too 🥴🙃 , but that goes to say you wrote the trope really well!

loved the way you wrote the awkward interactions between reader and yoongi, i really felt the uneasiness throughout the fic. i mean their entire dynamic was great and the way you portrayed its changes with the present and past moments weaved in really nicely, also i like this version of bad boy you wrote, like it’s nothing over the top crazy but fits really well with the plot ^^

BUT what i loved the absolutely most were your descriptions!!!! usually i tend to point out my favourite descriptions in a fic, and like to add it to the review but honestly i can’t freaking pick , i would have to copy paste the entire fic, it’s all too freaking good 😭i don’t know how to explain how well written i think it’s, except that i really felt like you used all the senses throughout the fic and added captivating prose to it as well!! honestly 10000/10!

i wholeheartedly enjoyed all 33.5k words, it was so good it felt like  reading a 10k fic, thank u for writing it ✨

it took me WAYYYYYYY TOO LONG to finally read this, i can never read much when i’m feeling stressed so i’m throwing a big middle finger at school for keeping me away from this AMAZING SM AU!!!!!! Kez did you really think I would go on liking spree and not write a review??? NEVER!!! There’s so much to unpack here like phew. 

First and foremost, this was so freaking entertaining just like the last sm au of yours i read. I know never to start reading your stories unless I plan on finishing them the same day or at least the next day (which is why I’m holding back on reading plot twist  I AM SHAKING HERE I WANT TO READ IT SO BAD). Anyways, back to cherry pickers. 

So to tell you how it went when I started reading it: I was feeling excited to finally get started and you came it strong by appealing to me with the one and only hot girl meg!!!!! I really like that you gave jungkook ALL THE TASTE and kept it up with the meg pics 😋, she was not lying her pics did get me to the quarantine in some way 🥴😭

unfortunately i can’t review every single part of the sm au 😖cause I don’t have that time rip BUT i do want to mention some of my favourite moments. 

I laughed a lot while reading this au, like jungkook had some fucked up friends (the 97 group) but they did say some funny shit now and then 🥴

1. when yugyeom and eunwoo were complaining about him getting reader’s number with ease, I CACKLED!!! I’ve been in situation where you just feel petty cause someone is out here getting benefits without the work. U N F A I R. That was one of the few times i agreed with them.

2. NAMJOON WAS SO FUNNY IN THIS!!! like he was making sense but still throwing shade cause he could, loved that about him!! Some of my favourite replies of his: “stealing guys away from dancing so u can talk to them is not wing womaning”, “rightt. you can’t date anyone we can’t beat up.it’s a rule” and more than i forgot to screenshot but I KNOW I LOVED MORE! basically i was smiling at everything he responded.

3. jungkook’s tweet about being a fourth whee, I laughed way to hard at that, you’re so freaking clever!!!

4. y/n knowing her worth!!! i was so here for that, i loved how she checked everyone when needed, even jungkook when he asked her if she was fucking other dudes 😔

5. jimin was another entertaining bean!! he always gave the best replies to jungkook’s nonsense texts lol

6. this is deserves it’s own place cause the way i laughed when jk tried to ask her for another date and she didn’t have his number saved. I WAS DED!!! honestly some dudes really do think they’re entitled to certain treatment when they have’t done anything to earn it, basically jk here until he woke tf up thank god 😩

7. Tae’s tweet about the ambiguity of brunch. I RELATED SOOO HARD!! honestly that’s my problem with brunch 

Okay so that’s all I’ve got for the list but I do want to talk a bit about reader and jk’s relationship 👀

both of them started off so wrong!! jk for wanting to get with her as a price and kiss her directly and her for pushing him away when the dude wasn’t doing anything wrong and was actually being nice and thoughtful 🥺like the date they had where he wasn’t trying to get with her or kiss her was so damn cute!!!! honestly such a relaxing read.

a little commercial break to talk about sope in this au. I WAS SO HERE FOR IT!!!!! Though I did not except it to escalate like that and have them be so serious about their relationship to the point that it would lead to such a big fight, but i like angst so it was welcome 🤪 and their reconciliation was hella sweet too even with vmin being crackheads about it lol 😫

you know the chapter started off so sweet, jimin confessing and being really vocal about his feelings, literally tugging at my heartstrings with how hurt and sad he sounded about joon’s behaviour.

but then you have them reconciling and finally seeing eye to eye and turning my heart into mush because of how cute and wholesome they were being

and then it from there it started getting HAWT!!!! i mean you guys did not hold back, y’all wrote it all and pumped up the intensity to the max, the feelings were intense the actions even more so and the descriptions were so delish!!!

my favourite paragraph has gotta be the one that start with “The feeling of Namjoon taking from him was like nothing else in the world. “  I KID YOU NOT I WAS SHAKING FROM THAT!!!! I LOVED IT SOOOOOO MUCH AND REREAD IT AT LEAST 5-6 TIMES. I’M IN L O V E.

All Jimin wanted was to get out of here. Get away from the pain, the fear and the heart ache. He almost ran down the hallway to get away quickly, pushing the main door open in a rush. The cold air hit him and Jimin took in a sharp breath – but he didn’t stop. He just kept on walking until he finally reached the gate. With tears in his eyes he let his gaze wander over the tall fence that surrounded the whole area. It was constructed with well-dressed stone and the gates and gate frames were of cast iron, fitted to stone jambs and lintels. Even if he tried, Jimin knew that someone would kill him the second he would take a step too far, if he only reached out, his fingers wrapping around the cold iron. Maybe Hoseok was even watching him right now?

One step closer and he could end it all.

A/N: Hellooo, I had this request in my ask box for a longgggg time and I had wanted to write it ever since yet never found the right timing, until last night at 2am lol. I hope you guys enjoy!

Yoongi hummed inside his mind, tapping on the counter a couple of times as his eyes searched for the bottle of strong alcohol he could’ve sworn he had left on that very shelf three weeks ago. Or maybe it had only been half of it, now that he thought about it, for he had drunk some of the expensive liquor that same week you got it for him, when he had been struggling with one particular verse he could just not feel contented with.

Although there was also that one other time last week when he came home not feeling his best after a bad day…

He pouted, defeated eyes still searching around as realisation hit him that there was no bottle of whiskey on sight and there would apparently be no whiskey at all for him that night.

Bummer.

You wouldn’t be home until the next day and he would have a long, lonely night. Hoseok had called him a few minutes ago informing him the bridge of the song he had taken upon writing and needed to turn in by the end of the week was now needed by midnight tomorrow. So, there were only two ways to get the inspiration he so badly needed:

You.

Whiskey.

And right then, he had none of them.

Or well, maybe not precisely, but he could always use some variety, right? So he thought when his eyes fell on the fancy bottle of wine your mum had gifted you when you got the promotion you had so determinedly worked for — the one that had now taken you on a one week business trip to Tokyo, and far away from him and your shared place.

He thought about it for a while —that being three seconds—, before his hand was grabbing it and his feet moved over to where you kept the glasses, grabbing one of them as well before he made his way over to his home studio so he could get started on the new track right away.

Yoongi’s digits move agile against practiced keys, pouted lips pulling between worrying teeth. Your eyes drink him in, a cool autumn’s eve, the dancing of fireflies beneath a night left to glisten in the wake of a reflective moon. You tug loosened sleeves, sweater hugging against a chilled frame, and legs pulled to your chest with a wistful sigh. His movements continue without pause, but limitless pupils regard you with diversion as Yoongi’s lips betray a grin of unbridled warmth.

“You’re tired,” It’s a statement. His tone is endeared, but his intent teasing, earlier discourse upon the late hour leading you to the abandoned music hall to begin with. 

“I’m comfortable.” Your counter is followed by the lengthening of heavy limbs, voice strained against the prolonged stretch. Yoongi hums, followed by the flat tones of a piano half tuned. You pull your nose to a scrunch, the deafening keys appearing even more so with its echo into the hollow halls. “You’re losing your touch, Min.”

The hum of a droning program does little to distract from the desire for company, Jeongguk long since locked away in his office. You’re privy to the occasional raise of a voice, laughter piercing peaked ears, enticed by the unrelenting joy. Time just meets the mark of an hour when you’re rising in sweats, sights set on the kitchen for a roundup of snacks curated for an occasion such as this. 

You lose resolve as you tread, feet silent with socks against vinyl, towards Jeongguk’s closed door. You debate a knock though you’re reminded of headphone covered ears, the sound of unrelenting alerts and the deliverance of messages dripping with adoration and the occasional well intended dig. 

The door is pushed with exerted effort, the will to maintain grip on the items in your grasp. You’re stilled at the immediate whip of Jeongguk’s head, your entrance not as stealthy as planned. It’s with embarrassment that you realize the image of you fits to frame on the sizable monitor.

i came across this series like a week ago and it seemed very familiar and you can guess why, because surprise ✨ i had already read it months ago 🤪

i’m 100% sure the early shift was one of the early series i read when I got back to tumblr. rereading it was just as fun as the first time (if not even more). anything rain writes I KNOW I WILL LIKE! i am not a fan of talking in absolutes but honestly she can never do wrong 🤧 and this series isn’t any different.

i unfortunately can’t point to any specific passages that I liked because the whole thing is that good lol. i started reading thinking one chapter would be enough for today and then bam, as always, i was done!!! BUT i can choose my favourite chapter and that’s definitely ‘the second taste’ (which i never go for when it comes to coffee i literally hate it so much 😔) the angst you brought to table on that chapter made me very happy!!! (weird i know) I personally really love angst cause i think it gives a writer the chance to explore the (possible) fallacy of negative human emotions, idk, i find it interesting to read how different writers (fanfiction or not) explore sad emotions that’s just my thing i guess 👀

i mean that whole making a mixtape thing, how freaking cute!!!! i commend reader for trying, doing that is hard! (i’ve done it once b4 and it was for a person i’m extremely close to and even then it was a hassle 😭)

but all in all this is such a well written and cozy series, definitely less of an emotional ride than mlt (which i need to get back to reading 😭), reading it for a second time was a joy 😆

ps: i still find the synopsis for chapter one (along with the scene it refers to) to be HILARIOUS 😝

They had gotten so close to the rogues that losing them again was like a slap in the face. Hoseok was growling from anger. He’s had more men and more experience in hunting (rogues were almost always relatively new vampires) and still they had outsmarted him. They only thing they managed to do was keeping the rogues from finishing their meal. But the smell of blood had been so overwhelming and strong in the air that the rogues had slipped through their fingers although they must have been close around, maybe even watching them as they had to tried and discuss what to do. Hoseok hadn’t been stupid enough to send his people out into different directions as the rogues had shown that they also attacked vampires. Ruthlessly so. Almost as ruthless as they shredded humans apart. 

This one had still been alive when they had arrived, just barely. He couldn’t talk however, choking on his own blood so hypnotizing him to get information hadn’t worked. He had just lost consciousness. So, the vampire king had decided to take him back with them and try to get something out of him nonetheless and then continue from there instead of staying out in the open like fools.

damnnn it rlly sucks to be joon sometimes, like he’s always in the middle of something *sigh*, first he’s between hobi and jimin, then jimin and tae, what else will you keep throwing at him 😔👀 the paragraph that started with “Yoongi held Taehyung close to him when the tremors started to get worse,” was so heart wrenching 😭 but sweet, to see that caring side to yoon was rlly nice

but you know what hurt even more, having jimin say all those awful things to joon because of how sad he’s for tae, like yes i get that he’s hurt but damn that was lowkey mean of him ☹️ joon is trying his best after all (i SWEAR i am NOT letting myself be joon biased okay lmao)
