went to the emp (i refuse to call it the mopop for reasons im about to elaborate on) for the first time as an adult and had a great time looking at the jeanette beckman photography exhibit and and the history of african american music exhibit, and then i went downstairs to the genre film prop exhibits which were both about five times as crowded. like im glad these serious informative historical exhibits get to exist, but it does seem like they're entirely subsidized by people who just go there to be like "omg darth vader," or to attend the monthly fandom themed banquet featuring stardew valley, willy wonka, star trek, and halo (not a joke, they are advertising these four specifically)
