Sooo city council of darkness was fun, it was great to see the d20 team having a funny time but I’m hoping we see some more serious campaign. I would LOVE if they did a more serious campaign. If we can get a serious vtm campaign from them that would be awesome. Glad they had fun, please bring back some serious content.

it's really weird how if your parents treat you with respect and basic human decency when you're a child it also fucks you up for the rest of your life, wrt interacting with normal human beings and having them understand you, like how abuse apparently also does

other people who were verifiably much more Gifted than me as children experience shock and awe when i tell them that my parents let me decide whether or not i wanted to skip a grade of school, people tell me that this treatment has created me a different mode of life than they apparently experience

I think it depends on the situation, people aren’t all good or bad. You can have bad things happen to you and still have that same people try to respect your autonomy. I think people aren’t more shocked that your parents do and did respect your autonomy without the “abuse” that typically comes with the over achieving child situations

went to the emp (i refuse to call it the mopop for reasons im about to elaborate on) for the first time as an adult and had a great time looking at the jeanette beckman photography exhibit and and the history of african american music exhibit, and then i went downstairs to the genre film prop exhibits which were both about five times as crowded. like im glad these serious informative historical exhibits get to exist, but it does seem like they're entirely subsidized by people who just go there to be like "omg darth vader," or to attend the monthly fandom themed banquet featuring stardew valley, willy wonka, star trek, and halo (not a joke, they are advertising these four specifically)
