Seeing xenogender discourse again. How about we all just hold hands and celebrate the diversity of human genders. Let’s all just have one pride month without trying to tear off one of our own limbs.

Kia Ora!!! This is just a little update to say that Serennedy Pride Weekend is now 20 days away!! If you wanna find out more about the event you can check my pinned post with all the info!! :D
Also happy Code Veronica announcement hehe!!
i understand that it's unreasonable to expect a band on world tour to play in every country in the world but i do think they should only be allowed to call it a world tour if they play in every continent. we need to make it embarrassing to say world tour and then not even step foot in africa
This Pride Month, I am begging queer orgs to branch out from hosting events at bars and breweries. Some of us are sober, neurodivergent, and COVID conscious and it makes it so goddamn hard to find community when everything revolves around consuming alcohol in crowded indoor spaces.
Watching ppl play No I'm Not A Human and I'm still disappointed that the Visitors are a real thing and the game isn't just a commentary on how paranoia and selfishness drives conspiracy level divisions between people and hive mind government-fueled fear of other people can lead to losing one's humanity if left unchecked, which is what I thought the game was about at first.
[warning for spoilers, obviously]
Things in this game that would've been 10x cooler and more chilling if the Visitors weren't actually a real thing:
The first time you hear about Visitors is from your neighbour, who quotes his cousin you've never met, and he has a lot of "I don't know"s in his story
Despite his warnings, this neighbour encourages you to trust people and let them into your house, to never let anyone know you're alone. He later dies by trusting someone and letting them into his house, and they kill him
The government is the first to dictate the criteria of "Visitors", and claim things are caused by the "anxiety" of these Visitors. The government also describes the "signs" one by one, all of which are completely normal and common things for human beings to have or exhibit. This information is spread via the, seemingly only, news station. This news station is sponsored by the government. This news station is sponsored by the tools you need to use to test for Visitors. It's important to listen to the news.
The government encourages you to actively profile Everyone you see, and to report to the government immediately if you personally find anyone suspicious.
People come to your house asking for shelter and security. These people include children, and kind or weary travellers - but it also includes assholes and weirdos. The latter present far more "suspicious" signs, despite everyone in the game appearing off somehow (and drawn in the purposefully uncanny-valley style). So it's easy to turn the assholes and weirdos away, right? If they were humans, they'd be nicer, or more normal. They're probably Visitors.
People extend their trust to exist in your home. You can choose to shoot and kill any of these people, at any time. You face no repercussion for this - the government understands, of course; they could've been Visitors.
The local school could've been overrun by Visitors. Of course the Visitors would know to disguise themselves as human children, then we'd be less likely to suspect them. The school needs to be burned down, and all the children eradicated. We wouldn't want to raise a generation of Visitors, of course.
Humans are killing each other in the streets. But it's okay, because there could be Visitors.
The government agency in charge of managing the situation (and would you know, it's FEMA) can take anyone from your home, at any time, without permission. They just need to make sure no one is a Visitor. You never again see the people they took away - they must have been Visitors.
Some people come to you and they don't have perfect grammar, or they use the wrong words, or they stutter. Normal humans wouldn't do that, you should be suspicious of this. What if they're a Visitor?
Did you know that you could be a Visitor without realising it? If you're afraid you've become a Visitor, you can just call the government. Tell the government everything about yourself. Tell the government everything they should suspect of you. They're here to fix things. Follow the government agent, they'll help you.
Don't let anyone in. Don't talk to anyone. Stay inside your homes. The government is handling this. Anyone could be a Visitor. You can only trust the government. The government will protect you.
The world is ending. You don't want to die surrounded by Visitors, do you? You should just kill everyone in your house, to be safe. You shouldn't have let anyone in anyway, what were you thinking? Just get rid of everyone, so there's no chance of trusting the wrong person. If they aren't Visitors, then why would they act so suspicious? You let them into your home, you trusted them, and they have the audacity to behave in concerning ways, with their human-looking eyes and teeth and hands and bodies. They are Visitors taking advantage of your humanity. You should show these Visitors who they're messing with. You should just kill them all.
Love character relationships that can only be described as "whatever the fuck these two have going on"
A friend gave me $20 on the first day of Pride Month like 6 years ago. I’m disappointed nobody has given me $20 on TDoV.
Cishet friends. You know what must be done. I have a venmo now.
I suggest getting angrier about misogyny.
"at least be nice about-" no. Girl. Kill him over it. We're done. It's been centuries of this bullshit since time immemorial and he hasn't learned. Obliterate him.
i want to study at a kiwi university
i will spell trail mix as scroggin and wear jandals on my feet. i would watch footrot flats on TVNZ all night while drinking a lemon & paeroa with a sheep. i'll have a mince pie every day that's worth 11 stupid dollars somehow. i would go to the wop wops every night. i am also more likely to meet JAFAs, Lorde, the director of Shrek and Sirocco the Horny Bachelorparrot.
i wish i was kiwi :(
we don't actually need gender markers on our licenses and whatnot. we could just. do away with those entirely. i do not believe this would lead disaster.
Making Black Queer History: Bob the Drag Queen
Christopher Delamar Caldwell (he/she), stage name Caldwell Tidicue, was born June 22, 1986 in Columbus, Georgia. She attended Morrow High School in Ellenwood, then headed back to her hometown to study theater at Columbus State University. She first appeared in drag at a pride month lesbian party in 2008. His first stage name was Kittin Withawhip, a reference to Kitten with a Whip (1964) starring Ann-Margret. During his early career as a drag queen, he performed with a literal nine-foot bullwhip. Her sense of racial identity was kindled long before she publicly stepped into her queer identity - while living in Alabama as a child, his family was the only black family in their neighborhood, and his mother began rejecting her own queerness as she reconnected with religion.
While Caldwell is also a comedian, actor, activist, musician, author, and reality television personality all rolled into one, he is best known for winning season 8 of RuPaul's Drag Race. Logo aired her TV comedy special Bob the Drag Queen: Suspiciously Large Woman, and in 2019, New York Magazine's panel of judges placed her 8th on their list of "the most powerful drag queens of America". Since 2021, he's won four of the six GLAAD Media Awards he's been nominated for, and as of 2026, is taking the stage in Broadway's Moulin Rouge! The Musical.
Caldwell came out as polyamorous, pansexual and non-binary on Twitter in 2022. She "surrounds herself with queer people" in celebration of her queer identity, in order to keep herself safe, and to keep the queer community's positive energy in her life.
“There's something about being told you're worthy from another person that feels better than when you tell yourself in a mirror.” ― Bob the Drag Queen, Harriet Tubman: Live in Concert

Is the first black Drag Race queen to reach the one million follower milestone on Instagram (2020)
