I don't know who I've been these past few days- part of me think it's just been me, and that's odd because I haven't been just me for an extended period of time in so long. But at the same time, I haven't felt like just me. I haven't been able to tell who else has been fronting though. Young Honor fronted briefly yesterday, but other than that... it's been hard to tell. I've been quite depersonalized
It's so weird that different alters can also have different religions- like what do you mean we believe the Christian God exists when Honor is at front
We haven't really talked much about what's been going on recently, so I'll give you an update in case posting becomes slower or to a stop for a bit of time
If you remember me reblogging the gofundme fundraiser I started for Hypnos and I, it kind of starts there. It's a long story, so I'll put it under a cut
I've posted about us having plumbing problems before. Since February of 2025, four months after we began renting this place from my mother, we've been having those issues. First, it was the toilet downstairs filling and overflowing when the washing machine would drain. Then it was our kitchen sink filling and refusing to drain. Then it was the toilet downstairs again. And our most recent issue: the shower would fill up and the sink in the kitchen would eventually, too.
I had called plumbers over for every single one of these issues. And it got SUPER expensive. I split the payments with my mother because she refused to handle the full bill, and I didn't entirely mind at that point because I figured... I guess I could help out a little. However, despite the plumbers constantly returning, problems would continue to arise. I knew there was a deeper issue that nobody was getting to the roots of.
When our most recent problem arose, I kept telling them. I need them to get to the root cause. I need them to keep looking. I didn't want to deal with this again, and I didn't feel like getting scolded and blamed by my mother for the problems we were having. I knew it wasn't anything Hypnos and I were doing, but she kept acting as if it were.
The plumber guy snaked it, no improvement. Some dirt came back, so he thought it was a break in the line somewhere. We decided to have him camera it, but he could only really see where the break was if the line was clear of water. It was a $2200 job just to clear the damn water line. And then he sent the camera down.
Meanwhile, I was on the phone with my mother. I explained what I knew at that point, and she straight up asked me how I planned to pay for it because "she doesn't have that money"
Mind you, Hypnos and I are operating under one single income. My job pays $21/hour. Better than what I was receiving before, and in no way am I complaining about my current pay. But I'm also a new adult. I'm paying $1300/month rent to my mother, I'm putting $686/month away for car insurance, $90/month for my phone, and what's left is $500ish/month for groceries and $250/month for gas/whatever else we may need.
Meanwhile, my mother lives in Florida with her husband now. She's worked her way up in the insurance agency since I was like 3 years old. And her husband works in the construction agency. I'd say she would be able to afford this more than I could. Besides, I'm renting from her. The home is in her name, I shouldn't be responsible for the repair payments anyway. I've been kind enough to split past payments before, yet she now claims that I haven't split payments with her AT ALL.
The problem with the plumbing is that the piping under our home is clay piping. Not good. And the way our home is built and where it is built, the house is constantly shifting and slowly sinking. Our entire strip of piping below our contrete basement floor needs to be replaced. Another $4800 my mother refuses to pay for herself.
When I told her I didn't have this money, she told me I should use my dead papa's inheritance money for it. The $10k I have in his inheritance, that I wanted to use for something more meaningful and important down the line, is being forced down my throat to be used for a repair I shouldn't be responsible for in the first place.
My mother's conclusion is that she's selling this house. That she "never signed up to be a landlord", despite her being the one to offer the house to us for rent in the first place.
Hypnos and I are looking into new places to stay, but my mother still intends to have me be the one paying for home repairs until she sells off the house. With money I certainly don't have, and inheritance I've unfortunately already put a dent in with the $2200 because I had no other option.
It's been stressful to say the least. But because of the move we'll be doing in the next few weeks, I figured I would offer a deeper explanation as to what's been going on and what WILL be going on

Umm I'm not sure about the media thing! I like reading books, but short ones. And I don't remember what kinds I like... everything feels so new for some reason
I like rainy weather! I like to play out in the rain. Holding my arms out and spinning around with the water droplets hitting my face... I love it so much ♡♡

I can look at this one photo in particular and realize "oh damn, that's literally just Micah" - but I didn't realize that at the time because I didn't know I was plural
