What is the Authority?

The Authority is a team of super-heroes in the Wildstorm Universe. Beginning as members of StormWatch, they declared themselves beyond the world’s government. This allows them to better the planet without regard to politics. They operate out of a sentient Carrier, positioned between parallel universes in the Bleed. Their original line-up included Apollo, The Doctor, The Engineer, Jack Hawksmoor, Jenny Sparks, Midnighter and Swift. The Authority was created by Warren Ellis and Mark Millar, first appearing in the WildStorm publication The Authority #1. (from the DC Wikia)

It’s basically the ultimate in problematic comic book faves.I alternate between thinking that no one should read it and thinking that everyone should read it (and then come talk to me about it, obviously).

Unfortunately, it’s a little hard to get a hold of… Hence a masterpost that’s expanded from a torrent I downloaded way back when.
