This is so utterly heartbreaking...

And we get to learn when he actually transmigrated and who he was and just as in the novel HE WAS A LITERAL CHILD!!!!!

And so everything about him is explained - he's half a period person himself by the time of the main story.

But also - the horror of it all. It is a dangerous world even to an adult and even to one who, like our FL, has another transmigrator with some power and knowledge on her side. But what hell world it must be to a literal child - all alone in this book universe.
