Name: Mortimer Theodore Fields Nicknames: Morty, Teddy Age: 23 Birthday: September 18, 2000 Height: 6′0” Sexuality: Straight Occupation: Actor
Family history: Felicity Fields-Mouse (Mickey Mouse’s older sister) married her long-term girlfriend Amelia Fields as soon as it became legal. Their twin sons Morty and Ferdie are the product of Amely’s former fling with a man named Frank who honestly doesn’t matter and is not present in their lives. Felicity legally adopted the boys. And that’s what you missed on Mouse family tree!
Morty and Ferdie are about as opposite as identical twins come, though they were much closer as children and often got into shenanigans together—double trouble. Morty has always been the more high-energy and extroverted of the two, so he might have been the instigator of their trouble-making nine times out of ten, but who’s to say really? Just because he’s a little unhinged and hot-headed sometimes, does that make him the problem? (Yes.)
Even when their teenage years mellowed his brother out, Morty just channeled his hyperactivity into hobbies such as sports, music, dancing and especially acting. He’s always looked up to Uncle Mickey and dreamed of being an actor like him, and even landed a few small roles in some films as a child thanks to the connections, but his moms refused to settle down in Hollywood on a permanent basis or let him become an actual child star. He was going to have to go to school like any other kid, wait until he grew up and make his way back to the silver screen on his own if he was really passionate about that dream.
In the meantime, his best bet for getting to exercise his acting chops was in theatre, so he poured himself into becoming an all-rounder triple threat with singing and dancing skills to boot. He also plays piano and guitar because he and his brother had to do music lessons throughout their childhood.
After high school, while his brother went across the ocean to study at a prestigious university, Morty stayed on the island and split his time between community theatre, acting classes, part-time jobs and a few small roles in indie films produced on the island here and there. He’s starred in a number of skits/shorts for The House of Mouse and performs there somewhat often when he doesn’t have other work.
Morty whistles a lot—it’s a habit he picked up from his favorite uncle, naturally, but he’s really advanced about it, too. He’ll make you jealous with his whistling skills for real.
