Working late again.
As much as most people would despise the action, Adam honestly didnât mind too much. For work was a distraction down to the bottom line. It kept him busy. It kept his head free of the thoughts that would run around whenever he was alone â or at least, kept a plug on them until he was forced to deal with them. However despite all things, he couldnât stay there overnight in his office. The man had to go back to his home, either his London loft or his  French Manor, eventually. So given the time, it was a series of tasks to head off into the night.Â
Put his belongings into his satchel to handle them the next day. Put on his jacket. Put on his bag around his shoulder. Get out and lock the door to his office. Head over to the elevator and press the button. Wait for the doors to open up.
And apparently, have company with him on the elevator ride down because the entryway revealed another man with a cat underneath his arms â an auror if he wasnât mistaken, before him. Not caring about the why on the feline and whatnot, he simply minded his business while he entered the enclosed space. Nevertheless, greetings were greetingsâŠeven if that meant that Mister Richelieu wasnât very good at them. It was the necessary thing to do as he merely returned it in that usual deep, gruff voice.
                                   âHmm. Evening.â
The other man was vaguely familiar. That is, heâd seen him around the ministry. Heâd come from one of the lower floors and his robes told him- Moses shook his head, he was leaving work now which meant that he ought to leave his auror brain behind. If that were even a possible thing for the man to do. Â
Moses was going to let the manâs rather unenthusiastic greeting go. He couldnât blame him for being a little gruff, it was rather late and they didnât know each other. There was no need for such pleasantries. No, Moses was going to wait until they got to the atrium. That had been the plan until the cat in his arms began to fidget, and by fidget it began to scratch at Mosesâ arms and robes.Â
âMerlin-â Moses only held tighter as the feline began to become more frantic. Unable to contain her further, Moses let go. It was only on the ground for a moment before it leapt for the stranger clawing at the bottom of his robes. âEbn nel-! Iâm so sorry!â
