How to Place Rocks on the Edge of a Pool

I notice several rocks disappear after placing Ryokan Motomatsu. I haven’t tested if it occurs under MOO also but if it happens no worries, you can add rocks anytime in easy steps :)

1. Turn MoveObjectsOn. 2. Click a Pool Tool. Hold Ctrl, it will enable to delete certain pool space. 3. Place rocks to hide the edge. Make sure to locate it away from the pool as much as possible to provide enough swimming space. 4. Click the pool and pull the arrow to the edge. Rock will remain as where it is under MOO cheats. 5. Turn MoveObjectsOff, and done!

You can also use this technique to make edgeless pond. 

Also Massage Chair doesn’t work on community lot (except Spa). I fond this thread, seems like a glitch. I know I shouldn’t put it until proper fix updates, but couldn’t think of Ryokan without those beautiful massage chairs... then I set it as a decor. Mwahaha. So please feel free to replace it to other objects if you don’t need it :)

昨日アップした旅館元松ですが、露天温泉の岩が消えてしまう場合があるようです。ので、対処法をまとめました！①MoveObjectsOnを有効にする、②プールを作るツールをクリック、Ctrlを長押ししながら1マスだけプールを削除、③Alt keyを使いながら岩を際に設置、④プールをクリック＆端までぐっと引っ張る、⑤MoveObjectsOff、です！この方法は池の端ラインを岩で隠す場合にも有効です。あとSpa以外の公共区画ではマッサージチェアが使えないバグ（多分）があるようです。でもマッサージチェアがない旅館なんて！という個人的な想いで設置しております。もし不要な場合はサクッと削除しちゃって下さい。早く修正来るといいな…！

I definitely will polish several small parts later, but my tumbler finally settled into new theme! Whoo-hoo! I’ve got a comment about my previous theme, seems that one was lack of “follow” button. Hopefully this reform fixed the problem *fingers crossed* If anyone still having trouble with following me, or anything you noticed on my tumblr, please contact me through message or ask box. That’s right… I was still working on the roofing issue!

I just couldn’t throw away the idea of building open loft space, so searched other solutions. Only way I could find was defining the open space as “outside”. Not the whole 2nd floor, just the open area like the 1st screenshot. You still need to figure out the way to hide the going through eaves (as the 2nd screenshot) but this way open floor will remain as it is. Also the issue appears only on the there. I saw The Sim Supply mentioned about this issue on his lets build, saying EA’s aware of it. So at some point patch will fix this problem but until then, this could be one suggestion to create a loft space. So sorry guys for keep sharing my building experiment! I kind of enjoyed it, couldn’t resist making a report… hehe. Hope it will help your building time :)

先日お伝えした室内に突き抜ける屋根の問題ですが、ほんのちょっとだけマシな解決策を見つけました。一枚目のスクショにあるように、床を抜きたい部分のみを「外」に設定します。 この方法だと再設置しても床はそのままに、かつ「こんにちは！」してくる屋根の量を最低限に抑えられます。 かなり試行錯誤したので記憶が曖昧なのですが、確か昨日の方法で壁を引いて床を壊した後、引いた壁をフェンスに置き換えれば自動的に外設定に切り替わった…はず。他の部屋まで外認定されてしまった場合は、その部屋だけ「部屋をカスタムする」で室内設定しなおせばOKです。EAの方でもこの問題は認識済みらしいのでいつかは治るはずですが、それまでの（中途半端な）解決策の一つとして、もしよろしければどうぞ！

I’m not sure if it’s a glitch or not, but when you make a loft space, roof next to the room start sticking out from outside. After some struggle I kind of sort of figured out how to make an open 2nd floor without this issue. But this method has one fatal problem; it won’t remain. Game automatically closes the open space when you replace the venue to another location, which means you have to redo same process all over again after relocating it. I haven’t tested enough so it might not work to every game also... so this is going to be a mixture of “half-baked tips” and “I need some advice” post. Anyway, here’s how to!

0. Turn MoveObjectsOn. 1. Draw walls between the floor you want to keep and delete. 2. Hammer the floor. 3. Click “custom room tool”, trace the room outline. 4. Voila! Wall between open/closed floor disappeared, now you have a loft :D

After this process you can add stairs, fences, half walls without the roofing issue. I think roof start sticking out when game recognize open-space as outside. That’s why you need to use the “custom room tool” to define open 2nd floor + usual floor space as one big room. I was literally hooraying and dancing when found this out. But once again… this effect won’t remain. So I really need some help. Does anyone know another way of creating an open 2nd floor space without roofing issue?

ロフト的な吹き抜けを製作する場合、部屋の真横に設置した屋根が「外からですけどこんにちは！」しちゃうことがあります。この突き抜ける屋根を消す方法を見つけました。①消したい床と残したい床の間に壁を引く②床を壊す③「部屋をカスタムする」ツールでオープンフロアを含む2階部分を丸ごと部屋指定する、です！このやり方だと真ん中の壁は消えますが、壊した床はそのままオープンに。でもこれには欠陥が一つあって、再設置すると床が再生されてしまうのです…。どなたか別の方法をご存知の方はいらっしゃいませんでしょうか？

MC Command Center fixed homework freeze glitch!

As I mentioned on previous post, my game had a freeze bug when teenage sim start doing her homework. I had same kind of issue before which was sim lost their autonomy after updating the game patch, but MC command center  fixed it. So I tried the mod this time also... and it worked! Woo-hoo! I play tested several times, both under autonomy and commanding. Each time sims around her kept moving/talking without any problem. It seems this freeze issue occurs in various action (maybe depends on each PC / save files’ environment?) so I can’t guarantee if this solution works to all the related bugs, but MC Command Center Mod definitely could be one option for it. I’ve already messaged you guys but again thank you adelajde21, cocooni and　murilala for your comments, and thank you so much Deaderpool for making such a wonderful mod with quick updates *hugs*

先日零していた「宿題中に周りのシムが固まる」問題ですが、MC Command Center を試してみたところピタッと収まりました。良かった！フリーズバグは （多分） プレイ環境やセーブファイルの状況によって様々な場面で発生するようなので一概には言えませんが、このModを試してみるのも選択肢の一つかもしれません。

I noticed sim freeze when teenage sim start doing her homework. Music plays, time passes but just sims. They start moving again as soon as I cancelled her action. Haven’t noticed this phenomenon before... could it be a new glitch?

ティーンシムが宿題に取り掛かると周りのシムがフリーズしてしまうのですが、これはもしや新しいバグでしょうか?

This is a trick when I want to create a bright room without too much visible lights. First screenshot is a line-up of some brighter ceiling / floor lamps. They cover larger distance than other lights. Usually I locate one or two of them, turn MoveObjects (MOO) cheats on, and then put hidable small lights behind wall decors. MOOed objects could be deleted when you re-located the venue onto another lot (ivy, especially ivy!), but combination of a wall lamp + decor usually remain without any issue. Make sure to check MOOed decor from every angle to see if the light’s been hidden safe and nice. May the light be with you... and happy building <3

多分これ今更だな、皆やってるな！という予感もしますが、今日のお題は「室内暗いけど、これ以上ライト増やすとごちゃっとしちゃうな…」という時に私が使うトリックです。まず明るいシーリングライトorフロアランプを置いて、その後はひたすらDecorの裏に小さなライトを隠していくだけ。Moveobjects onチートを使って重ねたオブジェクトはlot設置の際に消えたりしますが、ライトとDecorの組み合わせは殆どの場合問題なく再設置されるようです。

Fist visit to a community lot = upgrading all utilities. BTW, did you know taking a shower in the lab-styled one makes sim energized? I just discovered it today. Could be a useful object for controlling sim's emotion :)

建築完成後真っ先にシムが行う事といえば…そう、アップグレード！ ところでSci-fi風シャワーは浴びるとシムが元気になるんですね。水に何か秘密があるんでしょうか。若干科学施設の闇を感じなくもありませんが、シムの感情コントロールには一役買ってくれそうです。
