all articles about tumblr’s “decline” boil down to 2 things: you can’t get famous on here and you can’t make money on here. And they don’t get that that’s why we like it here.

Y’know back when I was into nostalgia critic and thought regurgitating someone else's opinions gave me the validity to say which movies were objectively bad and which weren’t,

I was talking about that didney spy-pigeon movie with someone and they were like: “I wanna see it so badly.” Me: “wtf why it looks like shit” Them: “Hey I don’t watch movies because they’re good, I watch them because they're entertaining”.

And that shit honestly changed my life.

Is choosing your commissions a good idea

Like you choose to draw whatever commish interests you the most instead of first come first serve

Like to me it sounds like nepotism and I feel if I ever did it someone would accuse me of being _____phobic for not wanting to draw fursonas from a certain fandom.

I’ve always done first come first serve cuz it feels fair to people who have charas that aren’t tumblr sexy men or interior design furries but at the same time choosing what ur interested in also feels more mentally rewarding and helpful if you want your work to accurately reflect you and not your biggest commissioners. idk what do y’all think? (and no bullshit “ur the artist u do what u want :D:D:D” answers because let’s be honest no one really respects that)
