hey. So Im not sure if you will ever see this. But you were the person that encouraged me to get a binder 2 years (i think) after you commented on a vent blog on an ask I made about not feeling confortable about my chest. I have been thinking on this for years but I kept telling myself it would pass, it would go away. Until I couldn't keep telling me this and remembered your comment where you said that things meant to help trans men could be used by other people. I couldn't stop smiling once I put it on and sliding my hands over my chest feeling flatter. I took my favorite unisex shirt and couldn't stop smiling at my own reflection. Thank you. Thank you so much.

I urge people to donate to Dem Bois, a non profit organization that provides trans masculine and trans men of color grants for transition related surgeries as well as care packages.

During the height of covid when I was unemployed and homeless, Dem Bois provided me with a care package that, more than anything, gave me hope to keep living and a reminder that my community exists and is one of perseverance and survival.

“what if kids identify with something and it ends up just being a phase-?” good. stop teaching and expecting kids (and adults honestly) to formulate permanent traits and ideas of themselves. everything in life is a phase. that doesn’t make it any less legitimate while you experience it. let people explore themselves and know it’s okay if what you think about yourself changes.

I have a friend who identified as trans for a bit but doesn’t anymore. Verified cisgender. Gave it a good shot. Good for her. Stellar ally. Her dad being a dick about it still damaged their relationship. It doesn’t matter that the identity didn’t last. The memory of how he reacted does.
