Sokanon shakes her head, grinning at the idea of Anne Bonny having settled. It’s an achievement, and to be forthwith, a certain jealously shoved deep with a large gulp of her whiskey. It’s harsh on the tongue and settles near instantaneously in her tummy. Though she doesn’t voice it, it’s there. But hell, she’s proud. Of the woman Anne has become. Grown into her skin. She remembers first meeting her, the fire she possessed, and Wanahton, hah! Proud. Honoured. At least the old bounty hunter can spoil nieces and nephews, gifts from her travels.

SOKANON’S ‘ CANON ‘ TIMELINE

1864 - AUGUST 13TH ... born to hanska and magaskawee. 1864 - 1875 ... was trained and raised mostly by her father in defending herself against the enemies. slowly mastering skills such as hunting, trapping, and other traditional methods like medicine, tanning, etc. knew how to handle rifles, pistols, bow and arrow, and a bone knife. 1876 - at the age of 12, it was sokanon’s first experience in witnessing the massacre of her people at the hands of custer’s men. while numerous of her people are slaughtered, she survives and first meets erkowe in the aftermath. 1881 - she marries erkowe at the age of 18.  1882 - their first child, wahkan, is born. 1884 - their second child, kimimela, is born. 1884 - 1887 ... sokanon and erkowe raise their family in the wapiti reservation in relative peaceful.

1887 - APRIL 12 ... sokanon leaves with a group of hunters in the morning, leaving erkowe with their two children. sometime later that morning, a group of soldiers come into the reservation to kidnap children to be sent off to reform schools. in the midst of distress and increasing chaos, erkowe refused to let his eldest, wahkan, go. tensions rise and in an attempt to flee, soldiers open fire on the village, killing several men, women, and children, including erkowe, wahkan, and kimimela. sokanon’s two children died instantly, erkowe seemingly survives until sokanon’s return later that day. in disbelief and total shock, sokanon discovers what happened. in their tipi, sokanon cries over their children and reassures erkowe it wasn’t his fault until he breathes his last, dying of his wounds. she buries them by dawn at the age of 23. 1887 - MAY ... with the loss of her family too much to bear, sokanon personally goes after the soldiers responsible while at the same time, starts her career as a bounty hunter.  1890 DECEMBER 29TH ... with no luck in finding the soldiers, sokanon hones her skills with bounty hunting. she relies on alcohol to keep p.tsd at bay. in december 29th, the wounded knee massacre claims more of her people; women, children, and elders. her parents among them. she, along with other lakota warriors 1891 - JANUARY 2ND ... she, along with other lakota warriors returned to the site for survivors. sokanon located her deceased parents and promptly took their bodies from the snow and buried them properly alongside her family.  1893 - 1896 ... meets and befriends ike skelding. joins his gang and slowly earns his respect as a fellow bounty hunter. later in the same year, meets calliope, a well renown bounty hunter in lemoyne. sokanon also focusses her efforts in trying to help the wapiti. visiting every so often to assist in any way she can in between jobs. 1897 -  word spreads yet again from the reservation of another apparent murder. rains fall’s wife and son are brutally murdered by four soldiers. sokanon is triggered and angered by this. again, tries and fails to locate them. captain monroe makes an appearance and despite her initial mistrust of him, having been sent from the north, they quickly become friends.  1898 - sokanon by now mostly solos her bounty hunting now while keeping an eye and ear out for the soldiers that personal attacked her family and rains fall.  1898 - sokanon participates more closely with calliope trying to close loose ends on several big outlaws. one of them is joe, one of micah bell’s group, including clyde. it turned out to be botched, however, joe gaining the upper hand. sokanon went to confront him alone and a fight ensued. sokanon subsequently was severely injured and joe disappeared. in november, sokanon managed to return to the wapiti reservation to heal. 1899 - MAY ...  having recovered from her injuries in the new year, sokanon returns south after receiving a letter from ike skelding and the latter of red dead redemption 2′s canon storyline begins with the blackwater massacre...
