Rhonda Rousey said recently that when she was asked to tap out to Becky Lynch's dis arm her (known in judo as the juji gatame or colloquially as the rolling armbar or cross-arm breaker) that she flat out refused. Her reasoning was that in judo and mma (so like outside of pro wrestling kayfabe) when someone was able to lock the juji gatame on her (lol) that she would simply "let then dislocate my shoulder and then limp arm out" and when I heard that I thought damn that's exactly what I did all 3 times that hold was put on me irl. She's rude as shit about a lot of other stuff but she's a real one for that.

Here's my theory about the Death Riders:

So they're based thematically on chess pieces, right? Mox is the king (only makes tactical moves, plays it safe, if he dies the game is over), Bryan was the queen (most reckless, strongest, driving force of a team), Claudio is the bishop (stands at the hand of the king, king's protector and will approach from the sides in defense) and Yuta is the pawn (out of control of his own destiny, stands before the king but always prepared to die).

Now all Mox wants to do supposedly is make Yuta the strongest he can be. Push him further and send him into the depths of himself so he can be unstoppable.

And in chess, a pawn is strongest when it makes it to the other side of the board. Because if the queen is dead, the pawn becomes the queen.
