hello i am Moyo.

i use this stupid archaic software called MikuMikuDance (abbreviation: MMD)

i mainly create VRoid2MMD models <- these models use VRoid bases only, i HANDMAKE hair, outfit, and other parts myself. i also create original and low poly models (only if i have the mood for them).

softwares i use for making my models:

VRoid Studio (for the bases)

VRoid2PMX (for exporting VRoid bases to PMX format)

Metasequoia4 (for main modelling)

SAI2 (for texturing)

Blender 5.0 (for weight painting and minor modelling)

PMX Editor v.0254f -Eng ver- (for physics rigging and optimisation for MMD use)

my models ARE NOT FOR PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION unless stated otherwise.

Hello! I've been searching for a way to get my hands on the tower of adventures models and i noticed you had some, do you have any methods of getting them from the game?

i've stopped playing since WAC's debut so i'm not sure if they put a specific encryption now but in case they still haven't done that (which i hope that'd be the case), you can simply use any fork of AssetStudio. i recommend getting the one that's linked in my public game resource post as that one lets you selectively export assets w/o having to load all the game asset files by building AssetMap and export with AssetBrowser. video tutorial on how to use it is also linked in my post.

once you have that fork of AssetStudio, load the GUI version and simply build AssetMap (i usually build it together with CABMap) by targeting to the game asset files' folder. after that, load the exported assetmap with the built in AssetBrowser and you should be able to export the models now. if your pc has a lot of RAM you can skip this step and load the game asset files directly, or use CLI version if you prefer using command lines instead.

if AssetStudio can't read the game files, you can specify the Unity version so it can do that. you can get the version number by loading one of the game assets in a hex editor software.

as to where to get the game files, get them with an emulator or directly from your phone by connecting its charger usb cable to your pc, that will allow you to find the game files and copy to your pc easily.

now i haven't done any model ripping for a while so my memory is kinda hazy now but this was how i've done to get the models from the game so hopefully it shouldn't be a problem for you.

i'm working on a lof of stuff including comms...... so i won't be active here for a while except to reply to dms.

STOP USING MY CURRENT NAME TO CREDIT FOR MY DDLC MODELS, USE THE OLD NAME "MOYONOTE" INSTEAD. I DON'T WANT ANY FURTHER ASSOCIATION WITH THE MODELS ANYMORE AFTER WHAT PEOPLE HAVE DONE TO BOTH THE MODELS AND MYSELF.

comparison between my first ever non-chibi low poly miku model and 2026 remake

i went with simpler approach this time for the texture on the new model by relying on the vertex mesh completely (some details are alpha textures to make my life easier). slapped a shader too for the permanent shadows. the hair highlight is from using FixedHairHighlight fx from mfkane using my own texture

and honestly i like how i made the head now even if it looks crap, for the side profile doesn't look flat anymore
