No Exit | Zhiwei & Woojin
@mpwoojin
[...] “Thank you..” he says with a rather deep-toned voice, it seems to match the intimidating stoic expression the instructor normally wears, “and no I am not a criminal. Far from it actually but the people I was trying to lose are definitely the criminals here.” Zhiwei wonders if he should further explain himself but when he thinks about these people he’s now slightly interweaved with decides to keep his mouth shut. This stranger is one of the many on the island that can be in danger of these men too. As much as he would like to warn his fellow demigods, the less people knew of the issue, the better.
Woojin’s turbulent childhood, now plus his job as a nightclub’s DJ, has allowed him to know one or two things about the ‘darker’ walks of life. Ironically, while he’s been trying to isolate himself from that part of the world, somehow he keeps running into it, or it running into him in this case.
Vision/Illusion, despite exuding the vibe of a glamorously camouflaged criminals’ den, is actually equipped with the best security system a legal nightclub could obtain. Your home might not be safer than the club’s dance floor, and no one should be under the delusion that they could get away with murder on the cameras’ and the guards’ watch. Probably this nervous ball of a stranger isn’t aware of that fact, which is very understandable since he’s not an insider. Yet, he looks cautious more than enough for both of them, so Woojin doesn’t worry that the other won’t eventually realize he’s completely safe here, in the nightclub’s male bathroom.
That might sound a little bit odd, but it’s true. This gives the Greek demigod the courage to take the stranger in and be alone with him while barely knowing anything about who he is, and more importantly, what he’s really done to have to run for his life and now rely on a stranger’s mercy. Woojin has enough reasons to doubt the stranger’s statement, even though a part of him really wants to trust what the other says.
“Were they trying to mug you or something?” A neutral question, so he wouldn’t trigger the stranger to pull his walls up too fast before he could learn something about this situation. If he feels something off with this stranger, the guards would be glad to take care of the rest.
Zhiwei's gaze turns away to the side when he hears this kind stranger ask about the situation. The instructor normally isn't the type to lie. Nothing good ever came out of lying but as he thought of before the last that needed to be done was to create a large panic.
The bathroom was rather quiet with just the two of them there, muffled bass shaking the walls around them but it wasn't awful. Either way, it wasn't the place one would ever think to find the instructor in. He couldn't be so sure that those guys that were trying to take him would think the same. "Something like that.." he answers softly adjusting the bag on his shoulder before his piercing eyes are back on the younger. "They cornered me when I was coming out of work and I ran off before they could get too close. I didn't exactly want to stick around to find out what they wanted from me specifically."
That should do it. It wasn't a full lie and it wasn't the full truth either. Zhiwei felt like it would be a bit irresponsible of him to bluntly drop the fact that there were people looking for divine beings to kidnap and experiment on.
